I don't think people can trust the process until either John is out or he admits his philosophy for Oline drafting doesn't work and immediately corrects coarse this next draft

This team is not as bad as they showed last night. They also aren't as good as they showed in the recent 4 game win streak. This team is sitting on 8 wins with three to go virtually tied (kind of) for the NFCW lead. Had we known this back in training camp, we'd all be popping champaign and claiming MM is the next coming of Vince Lombardi. There was actually a lot of that type of sentiment last week. Contenders, coming together at the right time, team to be reckoned with, no one will want to play this team come playoffs! Flash ahead to this morning and I'm seeing more of the tear it all down, JS sucks, MM is in over his head, this team is going nowhere type of sentiment.
I get it. We are fans. We are up when they win and down when they lose.

RELAX. Its just a game. Trust the process. Rome wasn't built overnight. And neither can an NFL football team. This team is headed in the right direction. This is a rookie coaching staff. There are only so many things a team can do in the offseason to make their team better for the upcoming season. Its not like they have 5 picks in every round to stock the team. They can't sign every top notch FA. Salary cap numbers limit the number of guys they can sign in FA. Last year JSN was a rookie and I heard a lot of chatter about how he was a wasted pick. This year, his second NFL season, hes on pace for over 100 catches and 1000 yards. Some things just take time.

Even though there are still three regular season games left, I'll pose this question to .net:
Do you feel better about the current direction of this team, than you did one year ago?
I hope this game is something that violently shoves the hawks down the road of growth. It sucks to suck, but I agree with you we have some good building blocks and this is just the beginning, hopefully, unless Geno is really not the guy and our coaches are really dumbfounded as to why they can’t do what they want and or o-line really is Swiss cheese and our D-line is just a one man army… our dbs don’t know what “dont let them behind you” means, and our best players are JSN and charbonet? Oh man… I don’t know what I think anymore, I’m trying to not lean on my own understanding here…

Great post. I love clarity on a Monday morning after a bad loss. It’s true. We aren't as good as we thought we were and we are definitely not as bad as we think we are.

Chins up. Next game. Let’s go!

GB is a good to great team and has been hanging with the top teams in the NFL. Seattle is in a rebuild with a bridge QB and a patchwork OL. Anyone that thought this game would be close is drinking too much koolaid. Hawks aren't there yet. Hawks can beat up on other bad/middling/rebuilding teams, but GB is multiple years deep into their team building process and have quality pieces at every level of the team.

Take a step back and look at the bigger picture.

I started watching the game live. I saw the Packers march down the field and score. I then watched the Hawks go 3 and out on a Geno sack.

“Nope” I said, and turned the game off.

That’s all I watched of the game. In my 48 years of watching the Seahawks, I just don’t have it in me anymore to watch the games no matter what is happening. If this is supposed to be entertainment, well looking like crap on national TV with lofty expectations doesn’t sound a whole lot like entertainment to me.

Like most of you this morning, I am massively disappointed with what I hear was us failing the litmus test.

I suppose I’ll find out what happened here in a few minutes watching Good Morning Football (literally my first look at what happened), but I guess the party is over (for now).

At least I got to watch the classic A Christmas Story instead! Good ol’ Ralphy.

What a waste of a hangover.
The same here. I left before the end of the first quarter. But I must confess that I did go back and peep. By the end of the third quarter, the champagne had gone back to the cellar, and steak had been downgraded to pizza.

A few good things though:
  1. For the GeNOs on dot net, finally a preview of Sam Howell.
  2. Reevaluation of our young players, Murphy, Woolen, etc. How can so many of them all perform badly in the same game?
  3. Our OC, I have been calling for at least a new play caller since 6 games ago, I am still of the same opinion.
  4. We are NOT out of the playoff picture, in fact, we are still very much in it.
  5. OL, how important is playing as a unit, we did for a couple of games. With Olu out, they had to re-learn on the fly, didn't happen.
WIth that, we are still on tack to match last year's 9-8

Go Hawks, oh yes, for some guys - Go Howell.

Not sure we were better before Olu got hurt, I really think grubb doesn’t know how to run the ball or play to the situation, one play I recall was a pulling guard supposed to pick up the backside DE but the DE was allowed to penetrate so fast he just ran right past the pulling lineman. Looked like wolf pups football. I think Geno’s red zone pick was a combination of Geno panicking in the red zone and horrible play calling and scheme, that play looked like some kinda tight end leak but the wr was sent ito the same area bringing two defenders with him, but geno still threw it up for grabs into triple coverage cause he got scared of the pressure that he failed to see coming and avoid.

When we played the rams we created pressure, we were in the backfield and winning our matchups, but we got no sacks, Matt the mobile stafford was just aware of his surroundings and moved and rolled into a lane to deliver the ball. He NEVER stood there and let the pocket collapse on him

That first drive was pretty much everything about this game. The Packers easily marched down the field and controlled the game from that point on.

I had such hopes for this game since this team badly needed a signature win this season and this wasn’t going to be it at all….

As far as a measuring stick, Seattle didn’t just lose, Seattle was exposed to clearly not being on a big boy playing field.

What’s worse is Seattle was hyped up all week and the NFL, I’m also guessing, wanted Seattle to be good again, nope, failed that as well, on a national level…..

Embarassing…..

This offensive line was beaten by an ugly stick….who are we kidding….????

Seattle has not fixed its offensive line for a decade and why should we expect last night to be any different, hell, this next game against the Vikings might be over as soon as it begins….

The defensive line which looked great recently was nowhere to be found….just a complete 180 turn since looking somewhat formidable but now it’s clear, against sub 500 teams, Seattle, can look “good” but against actual “good” teams, Seattle is junior varsity…..

Unless, Schneider and company, completely has a 180 in offensive line drafting prowess, Seattle and the Macdonald era may also live and die by the strengths or weakness of the offensive line….

The defensive line was also nowhere near a finished product, it was just too easy for Green Bay and that is deplorable….

Seattle cannot hang with the big boys and it clearly, clearly, unequivocally, shows…..

Godspeed…..
Nice post. David Letterman: "You have crystallized my thoughts eloquently". And yea, um, JS needs to go.

Lucas is a really o lineman. He was getting blown up.

Is that John's fault?. If our best o lineman is getting rolled like he is on skates, how do you think our 3rd best lineman is going to play?

Lucas is playing through injury. Yes it's Johns fault he's been neglecting the position for years forcing Lucas back prematurely

You know it's bad when you turn the game off at half time to fulfill your wife's request to sit down and watch Hallmark Christmas movies. Take note Michael McDonald ....I've hit a new low in life....you need to fix this next season...PLEASE!

This all day.

Sure, we are a pretty good, mid-level meddling team but, there’s a significant gap between us and teams with 1-2 more wins.

Like…unsurpassable.

Gld I wasn't the only one, you could almost sense that was the way the whole game was going to go. I have it taped if I need to review.
Most games like this just get deleted.
