I started watching the game live. I saw the Packers march down the field and score. I then watched the Hawks go 3 and out on a Geno sack.

“Nope” I said, and turned the game off.

That’s all I watched of the game. In my 48 years of watching the Seahawks, I just don’t have it in me anymore to watch the games no matter what is happening. If this is supposed to be entertainment, well looking like crap on national TV with lofty expectations doesn’t sound a whole lot like entertainment to me.

Like most of you this morning, I am massively disappointed with what I hear was us failing the litmus test.

I suppose I’ll find out what happened here in a few minutes watching Good Morning Football (literally my first look at what happened), but I guess the party is over (for now).

At least I got to watch the classic A Christmas Story instead! Good ol’ Ralphy.

What a waste of a hangover.

Waste of a hangover. That's a perfect way to describe the Hawks in their lime green uni's last night.
Oh wait....you're talking about your hangover. Ha ha. I get it.

That first drive was pretty much everything about this game. The Packers easily marched down the field and controlled the game from that point on.

I had such hopes for this game since this team badly needed a signature win this season and this wasn’t going to be it at all….

As far as a measuring stick, Seattle didn’t just lose, Seattle was exposed to clearly not being on a big boy playing field.

What’s worse is Seattle was hyped up all week and the NFL, I’m also guessing, wanted Seattle to be good again, nope, failed that as well, on a national level…..

Embarassing…..

This offensive line was beaten by an ugly stick….who are we kidding….????

Seattle has not fixed its offensive line for a decade and why should we expect last night to be any different, hell, this next game against the Vikings might be over as soon as it begins….

The defensive line which looked great recently was nowhere to be found….just a complete 180 turn since looking somewhat formidable but now it’s clear, against sub 500 teams, Seattle, can look “good” but against actual “good” teams, Seattle is junior varsity…..

Unless, Schneider and company, completely has a 180 in offensive line drafting prowess, Seattle and the Macdonald era may also live and die by the strengths or weakness of the offensive line….

The defensive line was also nowhere near a finished product, it was just too easy for Green Bay and that is deplorable….

Seattle cannot hang with the big boys and it clearly, clearly, unequivocally, shows…..

Godspeed…..

Massively disappointed in our team. We had every reason to believe we should have won this game with the defense and OL surging.

Proof we are not ready to play with the big boys yet. Just deflated this morning.

I was at the game and as soon as Geno went down and I think Howell took 3 straight sacks (was on the opposite side of the stadium so it was hard to see if they were all losses or not, my group was like yup, time to go. A LOT of people left when we did.

This team has no dog in them. They can't rise up to a challenge and play a tough game against GOOD teams. Growing pains and all that, at least there has been flashes of potential.

From someone who watched every minute, here’s some of what you missed:

**a “return to the glory days” of weeks 4-9 where every opposing run goes for about 7 to 9 yards

**DBs who let the receiver get behind them, refuse to turn and look at the ball, and then bulldoze or grab the receiver for an easy PI call

**camera shots to our coaches on the sidelines or in the booth with a “wait, did I leave the iron on?” look on their face

**the OL being put on roller skates every play looking like they are auditioning for Xanadu

**more missed assignments than Spicoli had in Fast Times

**Geno handing out more end zone freebies to opposing DBs

**after nearly giving up all hope, the Hawks cutting it to 10 and then going 3 and out on the next possession followed by…

**a 3 and out by our defense….getting the ball back….here’s Howell’s opportunity to shine….AND he throws a pick so bad he probably had his eyes closed, touchdown GB, game over.

You just handed the division to the Rams you *****!
I'm not proud. We'll take it, any way we can get it. I've experienced 2 decade-long playoff droughts. I'm not upset by 1-and-done seasons.

This team is not as bad as they showed last night. They also aren't as good as they showed in the recent 4 game win streak. This team is sitting on 8 wins with three to go virtually tied (kind of) for the NFCW lead. Had we known this back in training camp, we'd all be popping champaign and claiming MM is the next coming of Vince Lombardi. There was actually a lot of that type of sentiment last week. Contenders, coming together at the right time, team to be reckoned with, no one will want to play this team come playoffs! Flash ahead to this morning and I'm seeing more of the tear it all down, JS sucks, MM is in over his head, this team is going nowhere type of sentiment.
I get it. We are fans. We are up when they win and down when they lose.

RELAX. Its just a game. Trust the process. Rome wasn't built overnight. And neither can an NFL football team. This team is headed in the right direction. This is a rookie coaching staff. There are only so many things a team can do in the offseason to make their team better for the upcoming season. Its not like they have 5 picks in every round to stock the team. They can't sign every top notch FA. Salary cap numbers limit the number of guys they can sign in FA. Last year JSN was a rookie and I heard a lot of chatter about how he was a wasted pick. This year, his second NFL season, hes on pace for over 100 catches and 1000 yards. Some things just take time.

Even though there are still three regular season games left, I'll pose this question to .net:
Do you feel better about the current direction of this team, than you did one year ago?
