So Denver O just flat sucks, but with a qb worse than siemian put up more points on Atlanta.

So Atlanta is really a bad team?

Denver is lacking a run game right now. This is a major issue, especially when you pair that with two inexperienced QBs and a struggling OL.

Yes, Denver offense sucks; that's why they're ranked #26 right now. Does this make the #24 ranked Falcon's defense somehow better? I seriously don't get it.

So, you are saying you played a team lacking a run game, with a struggling O-Line, and a rookie QB in his first start who played terrible. Ok, that makes your guys performance look so much better....

Seattle will break the Falcons. With their swag crushed, I envision a tailspin into oblivion.....like last year.

Strange, they're not 2nd to you, unless you have some subjective measuring stick that will end all reason to have a discussion with you since your posts cannot be trusted.

The problem with Denver is that their defense is highly overrated by some of our guest posters who wish only to attempt to prove they have a better team than they do... as evidenced by their weak showing tonight.

They aren't?

1 Atlanta 2287 457.4 1667 333.4 620 124.0 175 35.0
2 San Diego 1866 373.2 1414 282.8 452 90.4 152 30.4

http://www.espn.com/nfl/statistics/team ... ntsPerGame

The problem with Denver is that their Defense is on the field for a significant portion of the game due to the lack of running game. These last two games, the Falcons and Chargers dominated ToP going into the fourth.

So, by means of your argument, only scoring matters for offensive standing.

By that same argument, who is the best scoring defense right now? Denver? You tell me what the same stats say. You've already said Denver's D is better than ours ("most people" I think you said, would feel this way, and you felt this way too).

Your inconsistency makes your argument fallacious; but if self-lying gives you hope, have at it!

Your offense is ranked below Denver in every category. Do you really want to get into this?

You are in a round about way making points for us man. So, you scored 24 points on a team with a Defense on the field far too much, because their offense sucks. We have a better defense (don't care if you agree) with a team that can move the ball and has a top tier QB in the league. So you won't be getting a defense that is on the field too much.

About as good as the dominant schedule the Seahawks have faced. I mean, the Seahawks have beaten all the juggernauts so far.

The Seattle Shermans are the bestest ever.

Scoring is THE ONLY stat I ever use.

Why anyone would think using Total Defense and Total Offense has any significance is beyond me. What good is gaining all the yards if you don't score the points? What good is stopping all the yards if you give up the points?

What inconsistency do you speak of?

We have an offense lead by Russell Wilson. Denver has an offense lead by Lynch/Siemian. But, hang onto your stats again for one more week while you can if you think shutting down an offense lead by Wilson will be the same as an offense lead by Lynch or Siemian.

Denver's offense has been better than Seattle's THIS SEASON. In every way. Period.

But you keep using the past, Russell Wilson and hopes/dreams to rank them ahead of Denver this season.

Continue to cherry pick in conversation, thats fine. Your homie is trying to convince us that because Siemian is playing like crap that Lynch didn't play like crap against you guys. Not once have I made an argument for our schedule.

Not sure what you are attempting to get at here. Never said your didn't have the best scoring defense. But if you didn't, you should be embarrassed. You've probably faced the worst offensive schedule in football to this date.

In all honesty, the points per game is the only stat I could find where Denver is ahead of Seattle. Rushing yards per game are very close. Seattle blows their doors off in all passing stats, so...

Right back at ya. Hang on to your hats if you think stopping the putrid teams you have face so far is the same as stopping the offense you will see Sunday.

Advantage to the Hawks for homefield and the Falcons on their second road game out West in a row. Win, lose, or draw I think the game will be more competitive than some Seattle Sherman fans want to believe.

Haha. I will hold onto 5 years of CONSISTENT great play, rather than a 5 game flash in the pan. If you seriously believe what you are arguing, there is nothing more I can add to the conversation because it is pure delusion.

I am hanging my hat on a team that has consistently dominated on defense for over 4 years now and a QB that has consistently been great since he joined the league. This defense has been good for years, that shouldn't be news to you.

You just said you only use scoring stats, and want to claim Denver's D is better. You don't get to normalize for opponents, or your "scoring" stats mean nothing.

In every way? except passing yards and total yards. Absolutely would have more rushing too, but starting RB has been hurt and Wilson can't rush right now. May be good for the Atlanta though.
