Not just Seattle but the school system is so broken and this generation of kids are some of the dumbest ever because of it. Let them miss a day. They're already missing school being there so why should not being there matter.

I had students absent today for the parade and it was excused as “family business.”

We had a blue Wednesday, a staff potluck and the parade on in the lunchroom.
