The players or coaches on this team don't seem to have any kind of passion or fire. They just seem to be going through the motions. They are playing their way out of a playoff spot at this rate.

I have NEVER been in the camp saying Sigi Out. You can check my history on this....but this is the type of stretch that gets managers fired. This is where managers earn their money. Big games, adverse stretches....

Sigi could very well be fighting for his job through the end of the season.

This isn't a Sigi problem.

This is a front office problem. They made it a point not to make changes this off season in attempt to keep an aging core together and it backfired.

Ozzie has been slowing down and looks like a shadow of his former self, He can't cover for everyone like he's done in the past. Pineda has been slowing down since the mid point of last year and Andy Rose is somehow slower than both of them. So what does the front office do? We bring in Friberg whose an upgrade but also slow. Teams are tearing our midfield apart and it's making a solid back line look suspect.

We can't score goals consistently without Oba. He's the only player who has the pace and technical ability to create space for Dempsey and it's unfortunate because without him teams will just glue their best CDM to Dempsey and try to mark him out of the game.

I think Oba will continue to mask a lot of our problems and the Sounders will comfortably make the playoffs, but this team needs a player in this window who is pacey and goal dangerous out wide, and In the off season it's time to find a suitable replacement for Ozzie.

Some of it is a Sigi problem. A good coach should be able to understand the shortcomings of their players and adjust accordingly. The Sounders are more talented than the teams they are losing to lately. The Sounders should be better than Colorado, Montreal, and Vancouver. Yet they have lost each game in an ugly manner. They should have beaten two of those teams without Dempsey and Martins. Vancouver is a good team and they are playing together well. That has to do with having a good coach. A coach who is getting the most from his players. Roster talent wise, the Sounders are better on paper than them but it's not translating to the pitch.

Without Dempsey, Martins, Pappa, and Evans, we are not better than Montreal and Colorado.

I think Sigi understands the shortcomings of his players but doesn't really have any options to work with. Neagle and Barrett have been awful, but we had no one to replace them. We have one true wide player in Thomas so we're forced to start guys like Rose and Friberg out of position. Honestly, what would you have done different? I usually disagree with Sigi's tactics but I don't honestly see much he could have done that would have a positive impact on results.

Sounders evidently signing two internationals one from Europe one from South America. No word on who as of yet.

Knowing Sigi, the European is probably from the Norwegian second division.

Sigi's German, he prefers 2nd division Germans like Tiffert.

I don't care if it's a 75 year old Pele coming out of retirement, this team desperately needs a shot in the arm of some kind to get their mojo back.

The term "internationals" usually refers to players who play/have played with their national team.

Is that being indicated in what you read? Or are they simply referring to two non-American players?

Hopefully some much needed creativity, especially with Pappa out till whenever. So fed up with the long balls and crosses lately. Wonder who the South American is? Hopefully a third striker so we can bin Neagle and Barrett.

Montero is available...just saying...
