Just looking at the pitching matchups alone we should sweep them. Hope we can get the bats going and at least win the series.

Need to wrack up the wins in the next 2 series. Hoping the Royals are as scrappy with Texas as they were with us.

8th inning runners on the corners no outs and JP and Julio swinging at nothing but balls, literally. Being first in the division doesn't cover up the fact this is one of the dumbest hitting teams I've ever seen. Just plain effing stupid.

Ugh. This offense is so hard to watch so much of the time. They just go MIA for 5/6/7 innings straight so damn often.

Might be time to fire the hitting coach. Oh wait, they did that already!
Servais is an idiot. He takes 3 for 3 Bliss out of the game. He's an idiot. He destroys momentum on purpose. The team may win the division but they don't deserve it. I've never seen an offense this bad. I'm convinced they throw games. Also, Locklear has barely played the past week. They keep rotating guys like it's the freaking NFL.

Hard to watch, can’t score any runs. Cal drops the ball, should of been a easy out at home.

Hard to watch. Can't blame the ump tonight. He was pretty consistant. 🤷‍♂️

The offense is just really bad. Sure, they have some good games here and there, but if you look at the overall team hitting stats on the season, they're one of the worst offenses in MLB.

This is why I have a really hard time truly believing in this team. I just can't imagine a team with an offense this bad could actually do anything in the post season (if they even make it that far).

*If* this teams wins the division I will happily celebrate but I will give 90% of the credit to the pitching staff. The other 10% can be spread out to the offense and stupid coaches. Scotty would stand around with his thumb up his arse for 100 years and watch this team strike out in dumb fashion while stomping on momentum if given the opportunity. Nothing would change. He's almost a decade in already. That's the kind of manager and mentor he is. He's a really nice guy though!

You make zero sense time and time again when it comes to Servais.

I will leave this here because you are either trolling or however you want to take it.

Expected wins right now(39)
Wins currenrly(44)

So he is doing more with less. Factual. Was this loss bad? Yes. Is Servais perfect? No. Is he what you claim? No. U lack credibility.

Nobody is asking for perfection. Youre part of the group of fans that are ok with making the playoffs once in almost a quarter of a century, are ok with games like today, etc, and that's fine. You do you, brah.

Jessy Winker was right to want out. I'm guessing Teo didn't want to stay either. Playing under this staff destroys a hitter. Winky is batting almost .400 the past month+. Teo is raking. Fraley is having a solid year. And that's just a few examples of hitters leaving Seattle to find success.

I have no clue why you're so obsessed with "wins above expected". I'd be willing to bet almost any manager given this pitching staff would have around the same amount of wins.

You have to score runs to win the game. You don't bench a dude who's 3 for 3. You don't stand there and do nothing while your 23 year old high hope super star swings at awful pitches day in day out. You don't rotate players in and out of the line up like it's a kids recess dodge ball game. Etc. OK? It's a joke.

This team is managed like an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. Fans have every right to be annoyed just like Gordon Ramsey. Bloody f***in' hell, mate.

How do you think almost any manager would do with one of the worst offenses in baseball?

Look man, I didn't like the decision to have Canzone pinch hit for Bliss either, and it's not a decision I would have made. But let's be real here. This offense as a whole scored a whopping 2 runs in 10 innings against a mediocre pitcher and a couple of mediocre relievers. That had a far bigger impact on the outcome of the game than a single pinch hitting decision Servais made. Also, Bliss went into last night's game with a .179 BA. What do you think the chances are of a guy with a .179 BA going 4 for 4? Call me crazy, but I'm thinking probably not great.

I'm convinced they throw games.

Despite the fact that this is obviously bat shit insane, I believe that you actually believe this.

Pinch hitting for a guy with a .179 BA (even if he's had a good night so far), for a guy with a .208 BA, is clearly throwing the game. It's just common sense.

Also, Canzone is one of only 5 guys on the team with an above average wRC+. Bliss isn't. Even if you don't like it or understand it, maybe there's a reason Servais put Canzone in there.

Bliss 3 for 4 today.

Canzone 3 for 4 today, including a massive blast to the upper deck.

Awesome to see both guys having a great game.

Oops, spoke too soon. Canzone ended up 4 for 5.
