For the "then" part, the Ms would be more than welcome to sweep the teams, or at least come close to it, that live in my neck of the woods.

Damn, that ERA by Woo though 🤯

And the rock is sitting at 3.32, and a losing record. Always getting "felix'd"
That's a hell of an ERA for a starter these days. Not his best year, but he certainly hasn't sucked like his record says.

Yeah, all of our pitchers' W/L numbers have been hurt by our low output offense. :(

No doubt about it. Gilbert getting runs must have felt confusing. Man, he was so locked in yesterday. Had that look.
I was surprised Servais didn't pull him in the 5th (I kid)
Yeah, best not to mess with Walter when he's on a roll. :)

Anyone worried that we won't bring in some bats because ownership will argue things are going well.
Bigly. Just like I know they love to argue against buying at the deadline by claiming the team is too far behind the division leader (the excuse every year but this one).

Rangers lose to the Mets today, 14-2, putting the Mariners now 9 games ahead of both the Astros and Rangers. Let's make it a double digit lead soon!

Rather than lookin in our mirrors should we be looking be aiming to skip the WC round. Big ask but if we sweep the Guardians we will only be half a game behind them.

I'll definitely be watching the Wednesday game, with Woo slated to start. Hope he can pitch 6+ innings with no health concerns. If they pull him sooner as part of easing him back into it, totally understandable.

Just keep winning series' and they'll be fine. 5-4 would be fine for a tough road trip. Esp. with the lead they currently have. Hoping for 6-3, but 5-4 is more realistic.

Rangers lost again last night. Saw someone compare this year to the 2005 NFC West. Rest of the division kind of stink but the Mariners or in that case the seahawks were good.

And even with this nice lead, it's still only June 18th. Yes, I think they make playoffs. But I won't assume anything.

It's the Mariners, theres an 8 game losing streak coming at some point which will make the end stressful.

I still worry pitching takes a step back either due to injuries or younger players getting wore out similar to the end of last year and can't bail out the offense. They've been pitching at a ridiculous level and the concern is can they keep it up.

They are making the playoffs. I'm just not ready to assume that the TexASS and Pukeston are done. But, this is a blast.

I very much doubt that Texas is done. Their offense has been underperforming, but with the bats they have in that lineup, that could change at any point. But a far bigger deal is that they have been without both Max Scherzer and Jacob deGrom so far this season, but that is about to change. Scherzer will be back shortly, and deGrom will likely be back not too long after that. That's basically like adding not 1, but 2 all-star/Cy Young level starting pitchers in the middle of the season (if they both come back fresh and healthy).

Point being, there are some very valid reasons to believe that Texas could be a much better team in the 2nd half of the season.
