Seattle has the best shot to win the division this year.

So, we're not supposed to be excited about winning the division? Got it.
As if that means we are somehow satisfied with just that? Not the case at all. But acting like it's corny or some stupid thing to enjoy every step of it? Meh. I'm gonna' enjoy every damn bit of it. And I expect them back in the Super Bowl this year.

No one said any of this.

I said it's not enough anymore to get excited about being favored to win the division........and that's a good thing. Nothing wrong with having higher expectations with the roster we have.

Weren't they the pick of some "experts" last year to win it all?

I predict the Seahawks will most likely do one of two things.

Win or lose.

And my expectations are nothing less than a Super Bowl victory. Period.
We all look at it differently I guess. It's just funny that people want others to "fan" their way that's all. :2thumbs:

Pete Carroll is fearless at looking at new players and new combinations. They typically start slow every year and finish fast. With the rest of the division likely to start more slowly this year, I would think they have a lot of room for experimentation should they chose to take advantage of the situation.

Where did I say that I was only excited about the division title? I expect a Super Bowl win every year, but I'm not gonna' sit there and not enjoy winning the division, then the conference, then the title.
It's like clapping with one hand talking about this crap sometimes. People not liking someone else being excited about something, sounds like a lot of work

Once again, I didn't say you were only excited about a division title nor did I suggest that I didn't like others that didn't subscribe to my POV. I was simply expressing my opinion. Period.

I also fully recognize that my opinion on this matter, like so many of my opinions, may represent a small minority of football fans. So be it.

Rock N Roll, Go Hawks!

Some day we can lift a beer, and you can tell me it's just the division title. Plus, it's a great reason to down a brew. :irishdrinkers:

Without getting into how individual fans concept of enjoying the season is justified -- or how it serves to paint them as true fans or not. I think simply winning a division title alone is a pretty low bar for this team right now.

If this team went 9-7, won the division and then were bounced in the wild card round at home -- I think every fan here would be disappointed with that result.

One can love the journey, be entertained fully for 16 regular season games, and still be disappointed in a poor postseason result. They aren't mutually exclusive. Seattle is a perennial contender for the conference title. But I think we all recognize that the number of years where this may be so is shrinking. It's ok to get a bit greedy and see if we can't get one or two more SB appearances before the team has to reload/rebuild.

None of us or the team expect the division title to be the bar. That's just something that needs to happen on the way to the Superb Owl

1. Hawks' OL not substantially improved -- with injuries major problems will develop.

2. Rams and Cards' D's have gotten even better.

3. Rams -- new coach so Gurley and the rest of the O will be better.

4. Can RW miraculously survive another season w/o injury?

Lotsa potential problems, but ... GO HAWKS!!

Exactly no one said a Division win is the bar it's the minimum. I fully expect the Seahawks to be in the NFC Championship game this season and hopefully Seattle can win it and then the Super Bowl.
