Sanchez on Spoon: "One of the best..."

Sanchez, who was on the call last Sunday and will be again for Seattle’s next game at the New York Jets, shared some lofty praise for Witherspoon on Tuesday when he joined Seattle Sports’ Brock and Salk.

“That’s one of the best football players I’ve ever seen,” Sanchez said. “I mean, it’s not even close. This dude is a monster.”

Sanchez described Witherspoon’s instincts and physical traits as “unreal.”

“He has legit mirror-man qualities where he almost runs the route for the guys in the slot, which is really hard to do,” he said.

For me Spoon became "That Guy" against the Giants on primetime last year. his change of direction on that pick/pursuit against Kyler was absolutely insane. Full speed and immediate change of direction.

An intangible the kid brings is that nonstop energy and enthusiasm for the game. It serves him well, gets his teammates hyped up and is contagious.

His pure athleticism and ability to turn on a dime is so fun to watch. Just wait for year 3 and 4 out of him!

He has insane instincts and yall know he studies tape, that is a lethal combo. It's what made Dick Sherman great. Getting one more player like him at LB would be *chef's kiss*.
