We are getting plenty of respect. If you don't think so, you're being awfully selective about what you read and listen to. That said, the story line that many people expected did not play out, so there will be rationalization from some folks.
The stage was set for the #1 offense lead by a future HOF QB that would 'cement his legacy' with this game. Let's also not forget about the desire to see Champ Bailey ride into the sunset with a ring after playing his heart out from his coach, who recently recovered from a stroke. The whole lead-in shaping into the perfect story until the Hawks stomped that love fest into the Field Turf at Met Life stadium. We laid it on 'em so hard that not even the zebras had a chance! So proud of our boys!
Enjoy the moment; we are champions! Art Thiel re-tweeted an exchange between Richard Sherman and a hater that basically said Richard "didn't contribute a thing all game" and then talked about him leaving the game with an ankle injury saying "karma's a bitch" Richard responded by posting a pic of himself hold the Lombardi Trophy and said "I'm happy." That's a perfect example of how to respond to the haters. We are the champions..swallow that!
You can obsess about haters and doubters all day long, but nothing will ever make them all go away because we have more that one team in the league. I know a few Patriot fans that still claim their team gets no respect, so playing that card really reaches ridiculous levels with some people.
