Seahawks' Smith 'hurt' by MNF backup role

Why would Smith be ' hurt ' ? He's been a backup QB most of his career . I doubt he finishes out the season as the starter . This makes PC look wishy-washy again .

Probably me just being stupid, but his choice of words just bother me. Hurt ? I would expect him or anyone for that matter to be disappointed . Hurt ?? Unless Pete said " Hey Geno, you aren't 100%, so Drew is starting. And you are a big booger head" , then being hurt seems weird to me.

He was probably hurt the offense didn't stall on every 3rd down as well.

I'm sure he does understand it, but being hurt is a normal human reaction to the situation.

It would probably be better to keep it out of the media, but still a minor mistake with no real consequences.
