Nationally, we're looked on as a "has been" team, similar to the Donkeys and the Aints.

I wouldn't call it hate... but rather, indifference.

When we start competing with the Whiners and the Lambs again, then we'll start getting the national respect we deserve.

Because it will be deserved. Anybody who thinks what we have been the for the last (almost) decade is anything other than a has been should probably exercise a little introspection.

The Seahawks have long been one of America's favorite teams. So we really can't play the "nobody notices us" card that much. Even in the last five years when we've been mediocre, the Seahawks have remained among the top 5 to 8 teams, depending on the measuring stick.

It's annoying, and the same phenomenon (in reverse) that keeps people thinking OBJ is a great receiver; that New York star power. He's the most overrated WR in the modern era, just look how his stats tanked after leaving NY, he's been absolute trash on several other teams. Oh, they weren't good teams or weren't good offenses?

For all his faults, look at Josh Gordon. Dude KILLED it with a smorgasbord of terrible QBs all the time in Cleveland. If OBJ was ACTUALLY great, rather than just propped up as being that due to one big showboat catch in a pivotal moment, he'd still be doing good work at WR. He's certainly not too old to perform at a top level.

He did, and that angers me, too - because it wasn't even all that great of a catch. It was uncontested (by the time the ball came in, look at the CB falling and like a yard away when the ball actually comes in) - whoop-de-do, Tyree's catch in the Super Bowl was a way bigger display of skill and situational awareness, he had the defender RIGHT ON HIM and they were jumping straight up, not able to dive forward leading the ball for example, and that makes it so much harder.

Not that I'm annoyed by the love OBJ has gotten for years, or anything.

- If nothing else, you should be able to get great longshot odds if you believe in him that much.
