He can only cancel an UDFA loss that is the same tier.

If we have 1 Tier 1 (3rd round) , 3 tier 2 (4/5th round) losses and sign a tier 3 (6/7th round). We would lose nothing. You only would lose on the same tier of the players lost. However, we are not sure what tier our current losses are on yet.
At this very early point it's projected to be a 4th round and 3 X 5th round picks.

Provisionally picks #133, #173, #174, & #177.

Any player can look like an all pro from their highlight reel. He looks good from the highlights which begs the question, why didn’t the Colts resign him? Not trying to be negative about him. Really curious as to what his downside might be.

We as Seahawks fans know what Woolens downside is but if Eagles fans watch his highlights reel they probably think they have the next Dick Sherman.

I hope this guy is a good fit to The Darkside. I just want to know:
why he was available?
Did the Colts not want him back?
Why did he lose his starting job the last two years?
Thomas has good football IQ for Macdonalds defense. Woolen has all the talent but didn't fit in the defensive scheme. Thomas is a ball hawk from the tape I was watching. He just seems to be where ever the ball is at on the field. Thomas also has a highlight reel that I watched and it looked pretty good.

I never look into this for a couple reasons.

1) Can't keep everybody.
2) Maybe MM feels he can unlock something the Colts never saw.

Happens all the time. Take Josh Jobe for example, turned out pretty good but the Eagles let him go. There's hundreds of these types of examples every year. Drake Thomas is another, etc.

Interesting article post-draft here.

I find this guy intriguing. He wasn't the first outside FA signed for nothing. Good size, high fb IQ, very versatile, explosive athlete who excelled as a rookie, then kinda faded. ST contributer for sure, but if he's a good scheme fit he could be much more.

Dereke Young signing with Vegas means this signing will no longer endanger them losing one of their 4 compensatory picks.

Seems like he's a nice replacement for the void left by Coby Bryant's departure.

Mac knows how to stack DBs that attack the football. And I feel pretty confident they are drafting a boundary CB too.
