So listening to the media I think people are getting a little too carried away with these issues. I'm not trying to minimize things but they're being overblown thanks to the combination of a long offseason, and the hawks being in the spotlight for the first time.

Since 2005 the hawks have the most PED suspensions with 5, however the Broncos and Giants each have 4 but nobody ever mentions that. Having one more suspensions than two of the premier franchises in the NFL in the same time period doesn't mean it's time to lose our S. Hardly reason to suddenly feel like the Seahawks are an organization of cheaters.

And the off the field issues are fairly minimal minus the Lynch DUI, even in that case he was barely over the limit.

Off field issues:

Josh Portis - DUI - we released him, big deal, he blew his chance.

Moffitt - peed in bellevue square. Who cares. So have I a half dozen times.

Leroy Hill - domestic violence - doesn't matter, he probably wasn't back anyways.

Marshawn Lynch - DUI - probably the only real alarming off the field issue only becuase he's so important, however greatly minimized by the fact that we have a couple good RB's to fill in now and get by if he misses a game or two.

PED issues:

Moffit - in 2011, 4 games for PED's. Sort of an issue I guess but hasn't been a problem since

Allen Barbre - got dropped the second he got suspended, was never really a part of the team

Winston Guy - not a starter, technically not really a 2nd stringer

Browner/Sherman - obviously a big deal last year even if Sherman got off

Bruce Irvin- Worrisome because after all the history he still did something stupid. However he had some character concerns coming out of college, and maybe this will serve as a wake-up call for him. if it's the worst thing that ever happens to him and he goes on to justify his #1 pick, then this will be long forgotten.

I get the feeling you don't think its a big deal if the player is not a starter?

I didn't say it wasn't a big deal, I just think that the timing has been poor for these guys and it's being turned into a bigger issue than it really is. I was hearing people talking about these t hings 'derailing' the season and I think that's a joke.

I've heard less and less about it so I choose not to feed the trolls. Everyone knows it's not as big a deal as the media and opposing teams fans want to make it and with time it will disappear. Sure our opponents fans or folks with an agenda against the Seahawks will try and make it an issue but just like when we were kids, it is only an issue if we let it be.

Best way to handle it is to own it. It's not like we can deny it so have some fun with it. Once others realize it doesn't bother us it will simply fade into oblivion.

I'm gonna do some adderall during the games so I can pay close attention to how badly we tear up our opponents. It really heightens the victory and helps in the victory dance. Gotta go now my dealer is on the other line.

Pretty certain you just made it as big a deal as the media did, in your own way.

You can discuss things without turning them into a big deal. I'm not sure if you know this or not but the internet is full of message boards.

I'm glad you think my post is as impactful as national sports media though. I'll take that as a compliment.

It's obvious some hawks fans are concerned, i was simply trying to illustrate that it's not time to freak out. Case in point the first question out of the gate for Pete Carroll at the town hall is related to it. I was simply giving my perspective on why I don't feel the situation is as dire as some apparently do.
