I know some were split - but I definitely wanted San Francisco to lose.

I think guaranteeing ourselves a bye week and a home game is much more important than risking that for a second home game.

As such, San Fran losing is huge as it basically means we clinch the division with 3 wins down the stretch which includes some tough games against NO.

Moreover, we can settle the New Orleans question in our house in two weeks which would give us a two game lead and tie breaker against them - so that is the much more important game for Home Field.

I calculate magic number is two, because iirc we are guaranteed a tiebreaker over sf by common opponents. I could be wrong.

If we win the next 2 NO and @SF we clinch. We'd be 12-1 and SF would be 7-5 while we would have beat them twice securing the tie breaker

A win versus Saints kill two birds with one stone...gives us common opponent tie-breaker over 49ers plus H2H over the Saints.

HUGE GAME!!

I thought this was perfect. They beat ninnirs now we need to beat them and that pushes them both back a game.

He very definitely did say that. I laughed like hell.

Maybe I'd better preface that with I thought that was what he said. Seemed pretty clear to me but maybe I was wishing. lol

I 'wanted' Saints to lose. But bet on them to win on the MoneyLine. Have to say I am pretty pleased with the result.

9ers are up against it now. They may miss the playoffs altogether.

With SF and NOLA the next two games, we are in complete control of our post season. Two tough games, but HFA is definitely earned by winning games like these

If we lose all three divisional games - and win the other two - our division record is 3-3 - this is the first division tie breaker. Forget common opponents. San Fran is 2-1 in division right now. If they win out - they would be 12-4 with a 5-1 division record. Our magic number to put everything away in the division is 3.

Have you looked at the Cardinals? 6-4. 49ers might miss the playoffs all together. They still need to go to ... AZ ... Only 2 wild cards ... 49ers have lost to Panthers and Saints. One of them might be a Wild card.

It feels SWEET to have a magic number.

Since Russell Wilson (can SRW become an abbreviation?) I have always used #3 on the roulette wheel.

To win the West all we have to do is beat the 49ers or Cards outright and it doesnt matter what else they or we do since the best they can go is 11-5. They play eachother again on the last game of the season so one of them is going to lose 5 games.
