Meanwhile, Sam is changing his narrative with huge game winning drives, or game sealing drives. A lot.
In what world did Geno not turn it over as much as Darnold? He had 15 picks and 9 fumbles in 15 games. Darnold has been light years better than Geno was last year and its not remotely close. I'm honestly baffled you made the argument Geno was better last year than Darnold has been this year. I'm at a loss here man so I'll just say agree to disagree.

So in summary - do you personally believe Geno is better than Sam as an NFL QB?Geno had 15 total turnovers last season. 15 interceptions, 0 lost fumbles.
Sam has 20 total turnovers this season. 14 interceptions, 6 lost fumbles.
Feel free to disagree with the stats, but the fact is, those are the actual stats.![]()
So in summary - do you personally believe Geno is better than Sam as an NFL QB?
Very true. Geno had a knack for increasing his completion percentage of passes thrown to the opposing team in the red zone. He's arguably the best at it, if not, then in the top 5 for sure. You know what QB stat is super important? Turnovers that happen well into the fourth quarter.
Ryan Fitzpatrick was that guy. You could set your watch to it...."we're down to the final minutes of this game and Fitz is marching down the field and.....NO!!....INTERCEPTION!!!. (insert team name here) have lost the game.
And I don't have the stats on Geno, but my recollection is that alot of them also happened late in the game.
Another actual stat -Geno had 15 total turnovers last season. 15 interceptions, 0 lost fumbles.
Sam has 20 total turnovers this season. 14 interceptions, 6 lost fumbles.

Sam’s great. I trust him. I also admire his character. I also expect him to continually improve. I expect Kubiak to improve too, as they grind out their identity. I would let Sam retire hereIIRC, Sam is in the first year of a 3 year deal. Why is anybody worried about a "raise" next season. Likelihood of that happening is pretty low IMO. It's been a succesful year so far, and should be much better should we advance in the playoffs. Y'all go on arguing about this and that. I don't see anybody else starting at QB for us next year.![]()
Stat muse has Geno with 4 fumbles and two less games. Also wasn't Keasley saying Geno didn't turn the ball over as much as a Seahawk unless I'm missing something?Geno had 15 total turnovers last season. 15 interceptions, 0 lost fumbles.
Sam has 20 total turnovers this season. 14 interceptions, 6 lost fumbles.

I trust that as a group they will try to control the mistakesHe has some Brett Favre in him. Forces some throws he shouldn't. Dude can sling it, he just has to be confident with his throws. And he absolutely can make all of them.
I don't trust him like I did Russ or Matt, but he's def. proving a lot people wrong. We need him to continue to do so. He HAS to play smart like he did at Santa Clara. HAS to.
MehhhAccording to stat muse.
In 2024 with the Seahawks Geno had 15 interception, 9 fumbles, but zero lost fumbles, for a total of 15 turnovers.
In 2025 with the Seahawks Darnold had 14 interception, 11 fumbles, with 6 lost fumbles, for a total of 20 turnovers.
Keasley is correct. Geno did not turn the ball over last season as much as Darnold has this season.

you're leaving out that he played two less games and was also much less productive. I guess I'm still not understanding the argument here. Geno and Darnold both have a lot of turnovers and on a per game basis its super close which is the point being made. It's also very close while Darnold has been massively more productive.According to stat muse.
