Its gonna be fun though this week though, just listening to everyone that "predicted" that he would fail.
Any clip of an angry geno smashing his helmet and screaming at the sideline will make peeps remember that Sam is still a better choice

One poor game does not define 14 today. I predict he’s going to exercise those demons in 4.5 weeks on a Thursday night.
Its not one game. This isn't Darnolds first rodeo. Personally after Geno, now Darnold I'm sick of using someone else's throw aways.

It’s one game in a Seahawks uniform. I’m in no way ready to abandon hope after today. Dude has been in the MVP conversation going into Week 11. You can feel doom and gloom or you can realize the division race is just starting and we have another date in a month. This is far from over. We’ll be fine.

Still a rematch to happen too no matter what

Darnold has bounced around the league just like Geno for a reason. Need to draft a QB.

Its 3 games, fumble against the 49ers, pick against the the Bucs, 4 INTs to the Rams. Thats a pattern not a fluke.

One bad games does not define Darnold, but, damn, I am really struggling to find the positives in Darnold’s game today.

I guess main thing was the offensive game plan which includes playing a backup at starter was “good enough” to win, however, Darnold, tried way too hard to make a play instead of taking the sack.

One thing is true, the offensive line against a good defensive line is cheeks at times.

Seattle without Sundell is not advancing far.

He was bad today. Real bad. But the fact the it came off of two really really good games probably gave us whiplash. This would’ve been a big win but I don’t think it’s a big loss.

We saw Sam under pressure and he's NOT CLUTCH. On to next week and onto next year with a new QB
If Myers makes that 61yarder for theW, does that change? Looked like it had the distance, just wide right.

I'm still all-in on Darnold. This game was a teachable moment for everyone, Sam, KuBIak, OL, skill players.Just don't throw 4 picks and HAwks win. I think everyone will rally round and find ways to make that little difference. OL holding blocks a count longer, WRs looking for ways to get more open in a way that helps Sam make a play.Kubiak, figuring out how to run better vs the Rams.
Also points out we still need that other decent guard for better run game and a half-count more time for Sam.

True statement.

I will add this though… still had a chance with 4 INTs…that’s pretty damn crazy all considering.

Yeah, 100%

Just to add - he lead us to a chance to win after starting on our 1 yard line, that punt was painfully good.

I like the fact Darnold put the 4 TD out f his head and put us in a position to win. If their punt goes in the endzone we win that game.

That said - he needs to fix his turnovers asap

It isnt just one game. Darnold has been doing this for some time.

Remember the Bucs game?

The closer and tighter the game gets, the more he falls apart. But he was available for that reason. We just have to figure out how to make it work despite that.

The bigger problem is we also have Kubiak.

But the reason people are upset is because they know this isnt a one off. Darnold crapped the bed, threw 4 picks while literally doing almost nothing else positive....and almost nobody was shocked/surprised. We all 'predicted'/feared this. We just didn’t want to admit it.

Look, sometimes you freebase your own hype and wake up in a ditch in LA with 4 picks and the vague afterbirth of some very ghostlike hallucinations. It happens to everyone.

Who knows, maybe this game takes the pressure OFF of Darnold. Going in, the entire conversation revolved around whether he'd implode. Now the narrative will be that he did and will. If everybody assumes the worst, the pressure ironically lessens a bit. Looking for the silver lining...

I feel like with a lot of guys, and I won't name anyone to keep the discussion on track, but if they started that bad there is zero chance they execute two really good drives at the end of the game when it matters most and put their team in position to win. He had the touchdown drive and then the last drive starting from the half yard line to put them in position to win.

It was a terrible game for sure and I'm at a loss at what he was thinking on all 4 of those picks but I think it says something that he was able to put it behind him and finish the game strong. I understand why people are concerned about him in big moments as its warranted. I do think he figures it out and plays much better next time around.

After this, one has to consider that it’s real.

Not Eeyoring here. We’re 7-3.

But, was this why Minnesota let him go? The argument could be made…

Again….We’re going to bounce back but, after a 4 int game…there’s concern. The nature of some of those INTs, like throwing into double coverage, was not the first part of the season Sammy D were accustomed to.

I think MM is the perfect guy to guide him into ‘bounce back’ mode.
His interception/turnovers were concerning BEFORE this game and my concerns were magnified. Sam is a choker.

Thats a good question actually. It would have definitely changed the mood / room temperature a bit , but I think we would all still be having the some questions and worries
All in all though, as much as it sucked, maybe its better they actually lost? Might spur some actions or decisions that wouldn't have been made if they squeeked out the W

Better to get that bad game now and flush it/learn from it rather than in the play offs or not the next Rams game.

They need to put Sam in a room with one of those big screens that they play indoor golf with, then have him deal with the exact situation where he keeps turning it over.

Then have a couple of DLinemen in there to actually tackle him when the video defense gets close to see if they get him used to it.

Then do it with double coverage, falling backwards, a target that is late over the middle, etc, etc

Kill Kurt Drills the whole week before we play the Rams, our guys wearing Rams gear for authenticity.
