After this, one has to consider that it’s real.

Not Eeyoring here. We’re 7-3.

But, was this why Minnesota let him go? The argument could be made…

Again….We’re going to bounce back but, after a 4 int game…there’s concern. The nature of some of those INTs, like throwing into double coverage, was not the first part of the season Sammy D were accustomed to.

I think MM is the perfect guy to guide him into ‘bounce back’ mode.

I don’t think so. One of the picks I’m not even angry at him about and that’s the first one. Db held Kupp plan as day. lol I think Sam was fine, I think some of our offense was too hopeful in that refs would actually call shit. And every time we play LA in LA, I expect it to be Seattle vs Refs and Rams. It’s never 1v1 since McVays been HC. No other teams gets away with DPIs more than the rams.

But 3 points from a win, nothing to be upset about. I only care about zabel now. Without cable or sundell our oline is effectively last yrs oline.. that scares the shit out of me

Some guy is just a winner, some guy just chokes when it matters. Guess who Darnold is.

I just don’t trust him in close games . They already lost 3 close ones this year

It's what happens when there's a build up to the game. He gets in his own head. Or, actually, and, when the pocket starts to collapse, he does too. Sammy boi just doesn't have the fortitude.

THEY CANNOT let this defense be as good as it is for no reason.

The way MM guides him through it is the way he did it over the last 2 drives of the game - put the ball in the defenses hands and run the ball. I think Sam is capable of playing good ball against defenses that you can for certain scheme an advatage against. And he can certainly on occassion throw a beautiful ball. But this league is full of QBs who when the clock is sped up and success require split second decision making, do what Sam did and has done.

MAYBE with support around him and a team that can allow him to fail in enough ways as possible and still win, he develops the fortitude to become a better player. The way he led the team down the field to almost win on a longshot kick was admirable. But that cant be the norm when we go up against better teams because thats all their is in the playoffs.

We saw Sam under pressure and he's NOT CLUTCH. On to next week and onto next year with a new QB

Naw, not next year. 2027. Darnold on his current contract is the best value the Seahawks are going to get for 2026. As long as the team is realistic about his limitations, he can be a great value for this season and next season.

I was upset when the Seahawks signed Darnold, but he's been way better than we could realistically have expected. And on his current contract, he should give the Seahawks great value for their money this year and next year. No, he's not a top QB. But he's also not paid like one, and the Seahawks were able to get him without having to give up any players or draft picks.

Rough game for Darnold for sure. I love that he finished strong tho and he will figure it out.

He’s never gonna live that down. And the way he played today doesn’t look like he’s gonna live it down anytime soon.
