I think the league truly tries to get the best teams (plus some popular ones like the Cowboys) on prime time. But it doesn't always pan out. Like in 2023, Aaron Rodgers' first year with the Jets, they scheduled the Jets for 6 prime time games, but Rodgers tore his Achilles in the first game.There are seriously people who hate Ohtani? I don't root for his team, but you can't not respect that guy.
Yeah, the Rams are overhyped, but the networks aren't in the business of losing money, so apparently them being on is considered a draw. Hopefully we get to the end of the season and they're doing so badly that everyone is complaining about having to watch them.
Cardinals, Jets, Raiders, Dolphins and Titans all got no prime time games this year, so they definitely exclude the worst teams from prime time.
