Dalton torched our secondary.

ET and Sherm both with week 1 picks.

Sure miss LOB.

We obviously miss their talent, but we sure don't miss their mouths and cap hits.

Good for them, I hope they do well all year, just not against us.

What we aren't being told is in order for Sherman to get his pick he also got (2) defensive holding calls and (1) pass interference call.

How is that for disinfecting the wound?

Keep Earl and we’re likely not able to keep Bobby. They’re both awesome, but the Hawks kept the right one.

Yeah, and let's dwell on former players that bad mouthed the organization and/or coach during and after their departure :?

The secondary for the Hawks is set. Carroll likes what he's got back there . Go figure . Dalton is far from the best QB they have to deal with this season . Bring back SHEAD !

Shoot, I'm not a big Shead guy. But he's MUCH better than Toast Thompson. No way in hell Shead would have stopped running and jumped straight up. One of the worst plays we have ever seen. Pathetic.

Having a good pass rush won't help much if they can't cover. I'm going to miss having the defense covering for our offense having a bad day. I think the days of seeing the defense putting up more points than the offense are a thing of the past.

I still think that they should have kept Sherman and converted him to Safety. This is what the 49'ers did in the 80's. They took their star cornerback, Ronnie Lott and converted him to Free Safety. Lott excelled at both CB and Safety and likely extended his hall of fame career. Sherman has said that he wants to end up as a Safety. He will be All-Pro as a Safety, mark my word. He is physical enough and he is super intelligent and will make any Secondary better all around. His career will last longer, because he will not need top level elite speed to compete at a high level as a Safety. I know others criticize his "mouth"....he is just super competitive and thought that the defense could have had more Super Bowl rings if not for the crappy O-line and Offensive coaches. He is absolutely right. Sherman is also not a locker room cancer. Always helpful to his team mates, and beloved by most of his team mates. High character guy off the field too. Tell me, honestly if our Secondary is better without him??? Even last year only 1 year removed from torn Achilles tendon, he played better than Griffin and Flowers.

But had no problem bad mouthing guys who ALWAYS had his back. Pete and Russ never once said a bad word about Sherm. Pete has his back every time. The dude went nuts on the sidelines towards a coordinator. Then acted like it didn't happen etc. Hell of a player when he was here, but it was time to move on. Not that some ever will move on.

Yep, that's how bad Thompson is. THAT bad. When you wish Shead was back there instead...….you know he sucks
