So I know, wasn't going to make the team. Didn't even last a week. But they did list him as #80. Is this okay? IMO #71, #80, & #96 are just not available, even for a week. What say ye?

Since preseason games don't count in the stats, I don't really care if they borrow from those numbers to stay within the number guidelines and keep the roster filled. If they make the team, they obviously have to change numbers

They have often used retired numbers in practice and pre-season. Don't read too much into it. It won't be true in the regular season.

I find it difficult getting worked up over a number when the recent player wearing it turned out to be a training camp body. There was no way Sal was going to be on the team past last weekend.
