It's just funny seeing so many hawks fans now cause nobody cared this much back then lol. Success brings it out of people though!

WOW. What is it with the ultra-passive aggressiveness from these Saints fans. What a bunch of pricks!

I can't wait for next MNF. I normally have very little disdain for the Saints. And I already have more than enough reason to want the Hawks to win desperately. But these Saints fans we've been getting the past couple days are taking it to a whole new level.

GEAUX HAWKS.

Hey now, it's not like the Saints played to half empty stadiums for decades before winning a Super Bowl. every fan they have now was there when they weren't any good...

That's actually a pretty accurate statement, old friend. A study was done on average attendance based upon capacity and current record and the Saints had the best attendance ratio of any team from 1967 through 2005 when the study was performed. Since 2006 every game has been a sellout in the Superdome and the is currently a waiting list of over 50,000 for season tickets.

I have a hard time taking any poster seriously when they confuse loose with lose...Just sayin...... :stirthepot:

LOL! Right there with you, Seawkgal. I was about to post something along the same lines.

:th2thumbs:
Good to see you here Guido! I was wondering when you would show up.
(Sorry about your dad. :( )

Thanks, Gal. Glad to be here too. And very special thanks for the Dad. It was a long battle with cancer and a blessing for him to finally have rest.

I can't think of a better place to spend the next two weeks online coming into the BIG game than here with my friends.

I can guarantee it won't be a blow out like many of you guys are predicting.

Better check your own boards there fella, according to "many" on Saintsreport, we might as well not even show up, cause we are going to get blown out. According to "many" we have no real threat except for Marshaun, and all you have to do is take him out of the game. On defense, no one will be able to stop Brees, he is just going to light us up. We haven't lost by more than 7 points since 2011, home or away, but you guys are just going to come in and take us to the woodshed?

I think a lot of Seahawks fans relate to the Saints and the Saints fans. Frankly, just like us, there have been a number of years where the Saints had good teams and the media was a lot more interested in covering the Jets, the Giants, the Patriots, the Cowboys, the Packers, etc. Imagine if this game featured the two top teams in the NFC, and they were Dallas and Green Bay? The entire nation would talk about it continuously for weeks!

It's actually one of the more interesting side stories of this year... the Super Bowl could easily feature Seattle or New Orleans vs. Cincinnati or Kansas City... I think some heads would explode at NFL headquarters if they had to cover those teams for two weeks solid in lead up to a Super Bowl...

So the biggest game of the season that everybody is looking forward to with essentially all the marbles on the line, is a trap game? Lol, child please.

That said, if I were to pick a trap game for the hawks, id go with the cardinals game. And yes in our house, which definitely accounts for the 'trappyness' to it imo.

Edit: and with thay said, maybe a loss to the cardinals would be beneficial to us, in the sense of humbling us and lighting a fire under our ass heading into the playoffs.

With paper bags on their heads. Lets not forget our histories.

Hard for some fans to not forget their histories when they aren't even aware of them. ;)

I am very well aware of our history since I have been there since day one. I do wish you would have tried to find real photos of the actual "baghead" protest from 1980-81 instead of pics from Halloween and a couple of isolated copycats.

Saintsreport is not realistic. Checkout Black & Gold. A much more mainstream site.

Speaking of trap games; I think the trap game for the Hawks is in NY. Not this upcoming game for sure. I respect every team that plays us cause, well, this is professional football. The Giants are a desperate NFL team and very dangerous. Those teams scare me more than winning teams to be quite honest.

There's no more trap games left on the schedule.

Saints for the #1 Seed
San Francisco @ Candlestick will be a dog fight
New York a team currently trending up right in the NFC East battle
Arizona is still in the WC hunt
St. Louis is the team in the NFL that gives us our biggest fit.
NYG maybe just because we could have the NFCW in the bag, but I still doubt Russell will let us lose. We still need wins to get HFA unless the Saints completely choke.

This team will not se their sites on simply winning the West. locking up HFA will be a huge priority. There won't be any let up in the regular season until HFA is secured.

OP lost me when he said this is a trap game, spelled "lose" wrong 400 times and then said the Saints have nothing to lose in this game.

I would suggest knowing what you're talking about before posting on another team's boards, OP.

I agree the OP's definition of Trap Game is way off. Everything for the NFC advantage is here for both teams, Saints lose then they have to hope they can beat the Panthers twice also. As far as the Saints and Rob Ryan not allowing us to dictate how we defense Brees and stop any blow out, I would point to the Cowboys game last year, who was coaching that defense?

I would also like to point out Payton is more the fully aware of our threats, Lynch BEASTMODED him the last time he was here and that was a 7 - 9 team without Russell Wilson, Percy Harvin, Golden Tate. If the Heater isn't telling everyone in N.O. that the crowd and the team is very real Payton and Ryan should be.

If nothing else, the Bo Jackson long run has been retired and replaced with the Lynch Richter scale run.

Yeah I went there, Trap game my ass.

I believe this is the preview to the NFC championship game. Whichever team wins will be the host for NFCCG. I think NO and SEA are the top two teams in the NFC. They have the most weapons. NO with Brees, Sproles, Moore, Colston, Graham, Meachem, Thomas, and Ingram plus on the defensive side they are playing solid. Seahawks with Wilson, Lynch, Tate, Kearse, Baldwin, Harvin, and Miller plus the #2 defense in the NFL. It's going to be a very tough game. Probably the best MNF game of the season. I think either of these teams can rip the best the AFC has a new one.

NFC is the stronger conference this year and there are about 3-4 teams that can easily make it to the Superbowl and win. I only see maybe Denver as the team in AFC. I don't think the Broncos can beat the Seahawks, Saints, Panthers, or 49ers. Unless they are playing in Mile High. back to the topic, Seahawks and the Saints are the top of the NFC and the road to the SB will go thru Seattle or NO. I'm really excited to see these teams play. It's a great test for both teams.

Yeah the OP said "trap game". Not this game. While the Seahawks are favored, the Saints aren't a patsy. A trap game is a when a patsy is playing someone heavily favored. The Giants game coming up for the Seahawks has a making of a trap game.

Thank you. I called the Giants game the Trap game a couple of pages back. Those losing desperate teams scare the crap out of me.

This might be a trap game for Seattle.

The saints have nothing to lose in the Monday night game. The Seahawks have home field advantage to loose.

I hope the Seahawsk are as overconfident as their fans are on this board. By reading the comments on this board, the NFL should just cancel the game and give the Seahawks the win so we can focus on Carolina.

First I am a die hard Saints fan. I have been to every home game in the last 5 years, but I am a realist NFL fan also. I think the Seahawks are the best team in the NFL. I think the Seahawks will defeat the saints on Monday night. You would be hard pressed to find a talking head on T.V who thinks the Saint are going to win. You would be hard pressed to find anyone on the planet, other than saint fans who thinks the Saints will win. This reminds me of 2011 when we were 11-4 and the Seahawks were 7-8. The saints were 11 points favorites. but we all know how that turned out.

I think the saints focus are on the Panthers. We must win the division. In 2011 we won all those games then lost in the first round of the playoffs because we had to travel to loud , Hostile, Seattle, all because we didn't win the division. I would go as far as to sit Sproles, and Graham to make sure they are ready and healthy for our 3 week NFC south run.

My saints might loose Monday night but they might get another chance to play Seattle in Seattle in the NFC Championship. It very hard to beat a good team twice in one year.

Good luck! Great city! and lets enjoy the game.....

Forget the Seahawks, I would be more worried about the two Carolina games you have coming up. It's why I'm not super worried if we actually loose against the Saints. Our chances of ending the season 14-2 and way better then your chances.

that was a pretty stupid post. Drew Brees is a bad mofo and I worry that he comes out and dissects us and neuters the 12ves.

Ok having said that, I feel like this is a playoff game for us .

Not sure if you understand what a trap game is...

A trap game is what the Bucs game could have been. They almost beat us, and got their first win against the #1 NFC team. The #2 team vs. the #1 team is not a trap. They are preparing for this as hard as possible, and treating this like a Super Bowl. Against the Bucs, like always, the Hawks decided to play down to their level, and it almost bit them in the ass.
