Funny but Marshawn should be on there somewhere.

Lynch should be ahead of both running backs on his list. He has more yards and TD's than Charles and very close numbers with McCoy but twice as many TD's. He has also thru 10 games played against much stronger defenses with a patchwork O-Line.

But I doubt you will see two Seahawk players on any list like this for MVP at the same time.

Lynch has played one more game than most of the top RB's with the exception of McCoy due to other teams having their bye week already so the numbers are skewed a little.

Wilson for MVP!!! The difference between him and Manning and Brees is that they're in pass first offenses so their numbers will be much better. Also their defenses are average at best so they're forced to throw it a lot more at times and they get into shootouts.

Weigh this against Wilson and our run first, stout defense scheme and it's much more impressive imo!

NO will lose a couple games down the stretch so Brees will fall on this list but I kind of think this is Manning's to lose. His season has been phenomenal so far.

Still should be a mention of Lynch on there, even if at 10th.

Hilarious reference to Star Blazers and Calvin Johnson. Pretty funny article over all.

Love to see it but not a hope. it doesn't fit in with the national storyline that RW is a "game manager" of a good team. I just got done listening to "The Coaches Podcast" with Billick and Mooch. They were discussing who they would rather have - RW or Alex Smith. Now they both did agree that Russell is who they liked better, but that is the perception that is out there. Not whether or not Russell is MVP material, but if he is a "good" game manager. Makes me sick!

Lynch should be ahead of Wilson IMO. Wilson does great putting the team on his back when it counts, but Lynch does it all game.

There was a podcast I listened to recently where they talked about the "game manager" title. They had a term that better fit Wilson but I can't remember it for the life of me. It was "game ______" but I can't remember that last word. Anyone else remember that?

my top 5 is this.
1. manning, nothing left to say
2. Bress, unbelievably accurate. Puts up incredible numbers, great team.
3. Calvin Johnson, by the far the best receiver in football, dominant force.
4. Russell Wilson, QB of the best team, has taken over games with little to no protection, and weapons that aren't bad but aren't great either.
5. Phillip Rivers, his completion % is out of this world
Cam Newton even being on this list is a joke. 3 good defenses he's played, he stunk against SEA, debacle @ARI, and was okay at best against SF.

The difference is they are far better players right now.

Interesting that with Luck not having to pass as much this season, Russell's numbers stand out that much more. He's just efficient. Even behind a craptastic line, he's efficient.

Oh, and I agree that #24 should be on that list. I'd actually put him higher than RW this year so far.

Wilson ( definition of clutch ) is the MVP, and always up to the task.

I'm aware of that but what defenses have they played against on a game by game basis that comes even close to what Lynch has done? Also, what level of injuries have their O-Lines had that compares to what Lynch has had to run behind?

Holy crap. I am blown away that ESPN didn't mark this as an INSIDER article. Thank you (for once) ESPN.
