That is really impressive. Amazing that we are the team that landed him.

I'd put the odds of him holding that record outright at really, really good. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 24-26 wins, which would be an incredible record to match or exceed. That's an average of 12-13 wins in one's first two seasons, which is incredibly hard to do even for a seasoned team.

Impressive. However, Andrew Luck has 17 and could reach 24 if the Colts win out the rest of the season. Need to win 5+ :)

Does anyone remember the last time in the RW era, where we did NOT have the lead in the 4th quarter? Maybe at SF a year+ ago?
This means, this RW team has NEVER been blown out. We have been in almost each and every game with a chance to win. That's impressive.

Perhaps equally impressive is that all 6 of RW's regular season losses (as well as his one playoff loss) were by 7 points or less, and all were not decided until the game's final full possession.

In fact, the Seahawks have not lost a game of any kind - preseason, regular season or post-season - by more than 7 points since 2011.

We were down in the 4th against Tampa then tied it with 2mins left.

I would like to remind all of you that Jacksonville, with the mighty Blaine Gabbert as their QB, drafted a punter 5 spots before the Seahawks selected Russell Wilson. Thanks morons!

Meh, I don't like to trot this one out. If you want to embarrass everyone including the Seahawks, look at the list of people drafted before Tom Brady.

Probably not any punters.

Punter Shane Lechler was drafted by - you guessed it - the Oakland Raiders in the 5th round of the 2000 NFL draft.

The best part about Russell Wilson... Their are 31 teams kicking themselves in the asses for not taking him.
As if there aren't dozens upon dozens of players around the league that the Seahawks and 30 other teams couldn't kick themselves for not drafting. Enough with the victory laps, it turned out to be a great pick for us, just leave it at that.

Well I stand corrected.

But still... Blaine Gabbert. They could have had Russell Wilson. Pretty curious where the Seahawks would be right now and who'd be Quarterbacking our team if Jacksonville had pulled the trigger. I suppose we'd be suffering through year 2 of the Matt Flynn era.

Kicker Sebastian Janikowski was drafted 17th by the Oakland Raiders.

I'm totally with you, J; I was just saying I don't like to use that one to prop up Wilson or the Seahawks because there are tons of guys that teams would have taken early instead of who they did take if they could go back in time a year. Some of the guys we could have taken instead of Aaron Curry still make me cringe, haha.

Especially taking into consideration most teams who are willing to start a rookie QB, are teams that are in dire need and/or did terrible the past year. So yeah to average 12-13 wins for two years immediately after a bad year (usually with a poor team) very difficult.
