I think people are overrating the Chiefs this year. They keep eeking out wins and barely beat the Raiders this week. I don't think they have it this season.

I'm just assuming they'll turn it on in the playoffs. They still have Mahomes, Reid, and a stellar defense, and they're likely to have home-field.

Ugly or not, they just flip a switch unlike many we have seen in history. Like them or not, counting them out is kind of silly.

Wilson is doing something he has not done in a while, getting the ball out quick either pocket or on broken play, makes all the difference in the world, not sure who helped him get that back but he looks invigorated again. Running game there helps him alot, gives him that 1 or 2 seconds of time the defense has to read rather then pin their ears back also.

People forget that he had a two year period where he had a ton of injuries a torn lat, jacked up knee etc then his last year in Denver he had a coach who's system didn't fit him (and he still put up decent numbers). Now he's playing for a coach who is familiar with Wilson's style...Big Ben was the same type of QB.

He's a first ballot HOF and one of the best to ever play and he's continuing to prove that. Hate him and root against him for how he left, I get it but he's still a great QB.

It's amazing what good coaching will do. Not trying to make a player do what he's not good at etc. Tomlin is a phenomenal football coach.

The game manager was 29/38 414yrds 3tds yesterday. Wilson is now ranked 12th in TDs all time and also broke the 45,000 yards mark(17th).

That's the ironic thing for me is that he's never been and still isn't a game manager in the traditional sense. Game managers historically are like Dilfer, almost zero chance to take over a game or make an explosive play. Wilson does both of those and often. I understand why people say it but he's not a game manager to me, in fact he's almost the opposite of it.

I mean it does help to have a top 6 ranked defense and a top 9 ranked run game.

Also Bengals defense is ranked 31st in the league, so he feasted on a weak opponent.

If he can put up these numbers against a top 10 defense, in the playoffs, then I'll be impressed.

400 plus on the road isn't impressive? Ok, guess my suspicions continue to be accurate. Nothing he ever does is actually him. It's impressive how great he can be, and he has nothing to do with it. If geNO had those numbers in a game, people would cream their jeans.

Russell Wilson is great, when he sticks to his game. And his game is good enough to get him into the HOF, if he sticks to it. He fails utterly when he tries to be something he simply isn't. He isn't a field general in the mold of Manning/ Brees/ Brady, and that isn't a criticism. It seems he may have finally learned that he isn't a field general type, and has willingly took on his unique role that matches his unique skill set.

It's not a JAG/ Journeyman/ Game Manager role. He occupies a space between the upper tier Manning/ Brees/ Brady, and the lower tier Eli Manning/ Aikman/ Moon. It's unique to him. Ball control. Minimize risk. Drop a deep dime when it's there. Him learning to accept it has resurrected his chances at the HOF. If he can work with Tomlin to get another ring, he might even be first ballot.

400 yards is fine but against a 31st ranked defense isn't all that impressive. Do it against a top 10 defense and it will be.

Fair enough. He's having a hell of a season. Good for him. No amount of denial is going to change how he's playing and/or the record that he has as the starter. Again, no impact on the Hawks so cool. When we were getting draft picks from Denver? Different story.
