You have to be aware of where you are on the field.
This is highschool level stuff.

This is a consistent issue that has plagued the Seahawks through a number of years. Even Lockett had a few catches where he was a 1 yard short of the line of gain. I hope they fix this sometime soon. It's frustrating to watch them continually be 1 yard short of first down on 3rd or 4th downs.

It's not always on the WR. On several of the missed 3rd downs, the WR had to come back to the ball, which brought them inside the line to gain.
