Fact is this year Seattle surpassed San Francisco as highest Gay population in the US, at least for females. I think in general the Male population mark is still in S.F. So think about it the two cities are not as far apart on this issue as you would like to think and it would be sad to see a game day issue come up about oreintation in the stands between teams and fans alike.
Really? I thought they all lived in Olympia? At least that was true until 2006.:)

No, that was probably useless politicians your thinking of :)

I hope this serves to lessen the attention to gays in sports. People love Aaron and many will be influenced to accept alternative lifestyles because they will see that gays are not weirdos, but everyday people.

I long for the day when this its no longer news or a distraction. Love that it came out in the playoffs though, because it will force people to deal with it. but it is kind of funny :)

Sigh.

It's sad that this stuff still qualifies as "news". I mean seriously, who cares who he loves?
Agreed even though I disagree with homosexual behavior personally it's none of my business if he is and doesn't change my view of him at all.

right...but that's why it is news. sports is struggling to break through this boundary. If Rodgers ends up being the first legitimate NFL "star" to do so (playing in a city known for its conservativeness no less) than it is a big deal.

Has to start somewhere. the first will always be news

If he's really in a serious relationship and he's gay, that's a pretty f'ed up thing to do to that girl. Not cool at all.

Otherwise, I couldn't care less.

No, but it makes for better taunting.

OMG I hope not... Then we would be crowned the "Douchiest" NFL fans of all time! C'monnnn Man! Especially since we're considered one of the, if not the most, "progressive" cities in the world... Leave that crap to Carolina!

I meant locker room stuff. All kinds of crap is said in those places, mostly without any real malice, unless you're richie incognito

could be.. or crabtree.. when the sexual assault allegations surfaced last year against Crabtree, many 49ers fans doubted this because people speculate he is gay

I hope he does come out.(if he's gay) It's stupid that this is still a thing.

Yep, shouldn't be a thing at all. Why should he have to come out? I don't remember having to come out and tell my family/friends about being straight. The whole idea behind coming out is degrading in itself. If someone feels like they want to come out and announce their sexual preference, good for them. But the fact that it is expected and almost a requirement for homosexuals is horrible.

Would it make me a bad person if I continued to hate him if it is true?

Yes. If you are not celebrating homosexuality then you are a homophobe. Acceptance is not tolerated, celebration is mandatory. Thought Police being dispatched from the Ministry of Truth as we speak, re education to commence shortly.
