No way we re-sign. I’ve read various reports about his ‘worth’….some are outlandish.

I don’t want to be the team that pays what he’s looking to get.

Thanks Riq! Don’t let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya.

Even during the parade he was non committal compared to Walker and Bryant who expressed hope they could stay. Dude wants paid big money and won a ring, fair enough.

Still extremely lucky after that NFC championship penalty. Could have been a villain in Seattle.

Seattle can get someone to screw up for less money. I'm confident.
Yeah, no kidding.

Woolen is too much of a risk to commit that kind of money to. He's had motivational issues before, resulting in being benched by two different coaching staffs. He could be the type that plays great in his contract year then slacks off after getting paid.

What scares me is he did stupid stuff in a contract year. Just wait until he gets silly money from a team like the Jets . 😆

Marlon Humphrey was supposedly at our parade yesterday https://heavy.com/sports/nfl/baltim...player-spotted-at-seahawks-super-bowl-parade/ despite zero connections to Seattle or the state.

and the Ravens are expected to cut him for cap reasons with 1 year left on his deal. He's not as good as Riq but knows MM and his system so could be a good stop gap.
What's the old saying? Where there's smoke...

I could get behind reunited Humphrey with Macdonald. Especially with the Ram's reported to be interested. Two birds, keep him from going there and bring in a starter to replace what's leaving.

In this article, Tariq Woolen is ranked the #33 free agent for this year, and the third best cornerback available:

His contract projection is all over the place, from $8 to $15 million per year. Who knows? Cornerbacks do tend to get overpaid in free agency.

PS. The more interesting thing is that Coby Bryant is ranked as the #14 free agent who is going to get a big payday. I didn't see that coming.

Ravens would have to cut him first. Seems likely but we still have to wait. Does seem a good hedge to Woolen or Jobe asking for big money.

Tbh….out of this entire season, the biggest things that stood out were when he got burnt in 1 v 1 situations.

Thats supposed to be his strength.

Nah…we can get someone at a fraction of what he’s going to demand. I doubt our defense drops off because Woolen isn’t there. Actually, I think we’ll be even better than before.

25 mil for HIM?
Man…someone will do it. Hope it’s the Rams 🤓😂🤣.

Remember what Shaq got? That was crazy talk at the time…bound to happen with a SB CB.

I’m guessing it will be more like $18M-$21M…way more than I’d like to see us pay for sure.

Woolen had so much potential in his first season. Thought we had the next great corner/Sherman. He's turned out to be a solid corner overall but not the next great thing. He'll get paid big. This draft and free agency market sucks big time this year.

Is $25m per annum or total over a 3 year contract, the later is believable the former is not?

Agents' job is to inflate the value of their players. I would be very surprised is Riq gets anything close to $25m PA,
Spotrac give him a martket value of $8.2m, (it appears to ignore price cap inflation but also penalty rate / effect on the rest of the team)

Or we could trade for him and work out an extension that lowers his cap hit... Maybe that's why he was in Seattle?
