Even during the parade he was non committal compared to Walker and Bryant who expressed hope they could stay. Dude wants paid big money and won a ring, fair enough.

Still extremely lucky after that NFC championship penalty. Could have been a villain in Seattle.
Even Shaheed had expressed desire to remain here (though he said that when he was first acquired).

See ya, Riq.

Hope you blow a big game for your new team by being an idiot.

Tbh….out of this entire season, the biggest things that stood out were when he got burnt in 1 v 1 situations.

Thats supposed to be his strength.

Nah…we can get someone at a fraction of what he’s going to demand. I doubt our defense drops off because Woolen isn’t there. Actually, I think we’ll be even better than before.
I agree…addition through subtraction

I'm REALLY interested in how much others are willing to pay. I know teams sometime lose their minds when there is a need.......but that taunting call and the following TD is way to fresh in the "football" minds. Its gonna cost Woolen. Millions.

Someone might offer him 15-20M per, I wouldn't give him 10M average. I think more $ just makes his problem worse. John will find a replacement, you gotta put the 6-4, 4.3 blinders on.
It's a shame really, but Elsa has already made the call and you have to save $ some where.

We don't have a lot of draft picks though. 4? Unless we trade down
True, this year... But if one of those was going to be a corner to replace Riq/Jobe anyways wouldn't it make sense to use that pick on someone proven vs an unknown prospect?

Also the expected compensation for Humphrey is a 4 in 2026 and a conditional 7th in 2027... They could offer a 3 in 2027 and a 2027 6th and be around the same "pick value" offer. Plus Riq or someone else might net you that 3rd back in a compensatory pick for losing him in FA.

And he may still be… never liked him and dude needs to learn to read the room. Stupid celebrations in weird times, dumb penalties… and I felt he was protected by the rest of the defense… though I loved when Emman got into him (in the moment of competition or not) on the sideline against the lambs. That was the worst penalty of the year…

solid player for sure but this could be addition by subtraction. Get your millions elsewhere.

The last time JS had just 4 picks...in 2021... he traded up.
And that is exactly what to do in THIS draft. We have money if there is an attractive player or two in FA. I would really like to see us get a strong player at the RG position, to "compete".
That last taunting call was not his first. He has wracked up penatly yardage in dicey situations before, and before that, and before either of those. Riq is a slow learner with awesome physical abilities that he doesn't know how to use.
