I now we all see it, but who is out there to plug & play @ RT? Our Right side of the Oline is ugly! I'm hearing Haynes should replace Bradford soon, but what about right tackle. It's not allowing our running game to explode, and has Ge No gun shy! If we hope to make the playoffs the 1st year of the new regime, the right side of the oline needs help. . . . . Now!!
It's a what have you done lately league, I love Lucas, but it's time to move on to a healthy beast of a RT!

If Geno is gun shy, gimmie more please. Dude went a little nuts on Sunday.

ETA* Not sure OL is getting fixed this year. Might be plugging dudes in until something sticks just to get by. Priority 1 though.

While I don't disagree, the Guard position is extremely bad right now. We really need to get that under control.

There's not much we can do right now, outside of a trade (and it'd take a big one to stabilize RT).

Just need to hope these guys grow into a more serviceable unit as they play together. Cross is playing at a truly elite level and Williams is doing pretty good. Need the rest of the line to settle in.

Stone is indeed awful. Has never been good here. Bradford and Haynes, however - there's hope there for both of them. Tomlinson, we just need to hope he improves as he settles in. He's been decent before for long stretches.

It amazes me how some teams always seem to have top tier O lines groups and we're always at or near the bottom. It's like we're not allowed to have an elite o line or an elite tight end. EVER!

As I said in the Duane Brown thread, the best player out there is David Bakhtiari. He's not that old (32) and he's a really good tackle when healthy. Yes I know he's had health issues but he's gotten his knee repaired, he seems to be ready to go and thinks he can play another couple of years.

PFF:
David Bakhtiari

A lot of teams are looking for Oline help and he's the best option out there right now. The Hawks need to swoop in and scoop him up!

"This is a top five offensive line."

"He is one of the premier tight ends in this league."

I'll take "two things you will never hear a broadcaster say about the Seahawks," for 100, Alex.

The sad part is I think we'd be well on our way to contending for a top 5 line if Abe Lucas didn't have paper mache knees. It is truly a tragedy for this roster that he can't go.

With Cross playing at an elite level (possibly the best LT in the league through 2 games) and Connor Williams looking like our solution at center, Abe Lucas would give us a combination of offensive tackles that'd likely be the best in the league. On cheap contracts.

Guards, even middling to bad ones, tend to look a hell of a lot better next to elite tackles and a good center.

I hope we concentrate on that side of the ball both during next years draft and FA period.

question: was Abe's knee condition known by NFL clubs prior to the draft? I seem to remember people saying Seattle got a steal. And the way he played that rookie year, it seemed like we did. But now I'm wondering if that's why he dropped in the draft a little bit.

I just had a conversation yesterday about Bakhtiari. He is out there and we need help in the worst way. i think JS should be kicking the tires on David and see if he can help us. It cant be worse can it? SeaWolv (y)

Is there any update on Lucas? Can't he come back after week 4 if ready? Fant must be close as well. He was day to day last week

Even if Lucas and Fant comeback that still doesnt give us any reliable depth. we have seen whats waiting in the wings if those two arent healthy.
We need Bakhtiari so those can get fully healthy.
