Ah who cares if he became Kaep's best buddy. As Sherman would say, f***in' adapt. Good on him for sticking around and not giving up.

Since Stephen Williams went to the Jags, Lockette is a good option to replace the same 1 dimensional talent

Evidently he has TWO dimensions because he must be a whiz at photoshopping GM's into pics with goats.

Channel 83 back in the house! PAY PER VIEW!!!

And YES!!!! Now all of Krapernick's deepest, darkest secrets are ours!

I highly doubt we were wondering which flavor of KY was his favorite for play time with Sammy. :177692:

If he's going to the scout team, its only because the Seahawks D needs someone viable to practice against that can give them a consistent challenge down field with great speed.

Sort of a weird deal huh?
He was cut by the Niners, who are really thin at WR.
Goes to the Bears, that are in the same boat...Gets cut.
And now he's back here?
What are we missing?

I figured Arceto Clark was going back to the PS once Harvin was activated. Now it seems Clark may not be a guarantee to go back to the PS. Though Lockette was out on the streets for awhile so this move still has me wondering. Must be the body type is what they need on the PS or last WR spot?

I hear Aaron Curry isn't doing anything these days.

Also, on the Real Rob Report, Tarvaris Jackson said "As long as there's a Ricardo Lockette on this team, I know I ain't the blackest one on this team."

That may have had something to do with this signing....

Are you thinking of the PS as a minor league development thing? Thats not really what it is (though people do make it to the 53 that way). It just as much about preparing for the schemes of your opponent. Hes likely going to PS, so it's really not that strange.

Does anyone know what Kelly Jennings is up to these days?

I feel like he'd be at the same level of contribution that Lockette is gonna bring.

IIRC, Lockette can play Special Teams. That's HUGE on a Pete Carroll team.
A big, physical speed burner who can be a heat-seeking missile on special teams, plus a scout team too-fast-for-u deep threat to keep our DB's honest...
Seems perfectly logical to me. Recall that Carroll places a much, much higher value on Special Teams than most coaches, and makes his end-of-roster personnel decisions based on ST.
Yeah, Lockette will probably be Practice Squad, until enough guys get injured that there's a roster slot for him, or he could even finish the season on PS.
It's good to have the Rocket back. Carroll has spoken, and bringing Lockette back is the highest value move for the team in the overall scheme of things, of the available options.
