Regardless of the outcome, it felt like a "win"

So the whole time I'm thinking... "man, if we only played like this for 4 qtrs instead of just one..."

Then we play an amazing 4th qtr capped off my Richard Sherman's Game-tying Pick-6 and I immediately felt that "this is a win... regardless if we get a W or not."

The team just battled back so hard from being down 20-3 and they do not play like "pre-destined teams" that have a flat game. They pick each other up. They are offense is high-fiving the defense as they switch, same for special teams too. This is a true team through and through.

I honestly felt that even if we lost this game near the end of regulation or in OT... it would have all the great feelings of a win. But it feels awesome that we're 4-0 for the first time in Franchise history.

A win is a win! Look at the Texans wins... Last second field goal after being dominated by San Diego... OT fade route to Deandre against the titans. They have been anything but impressive.

I felt the same way. At the half, I was commenting to my family about how the second half would show how much of a 'winning' team the Hawks really are. If they came out and continued to fight to make it close, then that would say a lot about their character as a team. At that point, I thought a loss was in the cards. When the game was tied, I said that the game was a win regardless of the actual score. Adversity defines a team.

Couldn't have asked for a better win. In boxing, it is said "twice as much is learned from a loss as a win". Today we had that cake and ate it too. Much better win for this team than the blow-out win vs. the lowly, overmatched SF 49ers, IMO.

I dunno... We were totally getting our asses handed to us almost the entire game. We did what needed to be done with a little luck dabbled in for good measure to come away with that amazing, improbable win. Felt like a huge loss until we started to wake up in the second half. So if I'm honest with myself, I have to say we got verrrry lucky. Fortunately, we have the amazing "never say die" Russell Wilson as our starting QB!

I was pretty sure that the Hawks would lose this game as soon as the schedule came out. When they lost Breno and Max, I was positive of it. As I painfully watched them get it within a touchdown I was thinking "OK, way to make a game out of it" and "they could really use a turnover here" BOOM.. Sherm is tying the game. At that point I just laughed and had visions of Holmgren saying "crazy stuff can happen when you throw the ball with a late lead". I just laughed like crazy and knew the game was the Hawks then.
No way was the defense going to let that get away from them.

JJ Watt looked like a beat up Rocky in OT and Schaub curled up in a ball to take a sack by the end of the game. We broke that team down and defeated them fairly. Seahawks are built to play a full game of hard nosed football, and it is freaking awesome!

I agree. I just wanted to see them get off the mat and answer the bell. They did and that showed me a ton.

This is a very good point. Only thing is if we were lucky, then the Texans got screwed. I dont think the Texans got screwed though. This was a battle of attrition and we won it . We did not give up and this is what champions do. However, John Madden has said (paraphrasing) that " it takes some luck to win championships." I say that if you play great football "luck" happens for you.

No QB pressure.. I didn't look at tape yet but man our front four never got close to QB! I suspect much holding as that performance is not indicative of our D line. Any observations on that?

Really didn't expect to see the pass d get beat up like that through the first half, but they locked it down.

The Oline continues to be a problem.

Still though, a huge, huge victory. It's not uncommon for a division or homefield throughout the playoffs to come down to a game or two, and this is one of those games that you need to make the difference. Really a great victory, and Wilson took the team on his back even with the passing game not working. Very, very impressed by him in a game that won't show up on the stats sheets as anything special.

Well this team doesn't appear to be about moral victories, and I for one am happy about that! Although going unbeaten is an incredibly difficult task in the NFL, I think more people ought to take their cues from this football team and think about going 1-0 every week. I think predeterming games you expect them to lose is a waste. Just my .02. :D

Dunno' about that. If you wanted to, you could make a case that the D line got us the win. If Shaub is'nt pressured by Clemons (I think), he don't throw that pick 6. And didn't we get 4 sacks and several hurries?

We gave up 20 pts, on the road, to a very good team. 7 of those points were the product of a fumble that gave Houston a very short field. We also lost our sack leader in the 2nd qtr.

The line wasn't fearsome, but if a line is going to get the blame, it's the one on the other side of the ball. And not much you can do about injuries, aside from what we did.

A win's a win. One step closer to HFA. One step closer to the Superb Owl. In 4 weeks the only thing most will remember will be a "W".
