Absolutely ridiculous "Unsportsmanlike" penalty!

It's Christmas and Scrooge shows up in stripes!

Announcers: "You can celebrate touchdowns, but not certain ways."

WTF?

Is that the one where he lifted up his Jersey like he had a piece on him?

One was where he looked like he was shoveling presents. Then as he is walking away, n it looks like he's scratching his right side. I never saw his shirt lift up. When they do that, they grab it from the front and lift it.
Maybe it "had all the ingredients of a shirt lift"

Another was Kelce dunking over the goal post after a TD. I've seen that a lot, and never a penalty until now...

They still beat the áss of of sleeters.

I saw a better view of it, and see where it could by viewed as showing a gun.
Andy Reid needs to check his as s and bench him for being selfish if that's the case.

Still doesn't excuse the football dunk penalty.

Or NOT penalizing Pickens when he gets a penalty for false start, then pulls his helmet off and starts screaming at somebody.

Absolutely idiotic!

EVERYBODY was talking about the choreographed celebrations after a touchdown! Especially the Seahawks celebrations!

F the NFL! "This is legal, nope, now it's illegal... Wait it might be legal...

But the referees are selective about it. Pickens should have gotten a 15 yard penalty for removing his helmet and yelling after getting a penalty for false start.
The announcer said "Pickens better put his helmet back on before he gets a penalty!"

He should have been made to come off the field afterwards. Can't remember if he did.

"The prohibition on celebrations already includes not being able to use the ball as a prop.
According to Blandino, goal post dunking had been "grandfathered in" to be acceptable a la the Lambeau Leap."

It’s one of the various forms of unsportsmanlike conduct. The rule includes this language: “Removal of his helmet by a player in the field of play or the end zone during a celebration or demonstration, or during a confrontation with a game official or any other player.”

It is not a judgment call. It’s automatic, with no discretion or exceptions.

(Unless it's a Steeler)
