I'm just waiting for someone to tell us that the Hawks should have somehow known this would happen before he was drafted.

Rog the Douche may well hate the Hawks, but if that's his only motivation why did he suspend Zeke Elliot 6 games under what are basically the same circumstances especially considering the Cowpatties are a "legacy" franchise and endlessly favored by the networks?

I believe the suspensions to Reed and Elliot are the typical MO for Rog when these situations arise (6 games). And if that's the case, that definitely begs the question as to why Tyreek Hill got nothing. I 100% believe it's about making Mahomes the new NFL Golden Boy. There's nothing the league likes better than a lot of scoring as witnessed by all the rule changes over the years favoring offenses. Rog and his cronies have wet dreams about that 51-48 game between the Chefs and Lambs last year, I'd bet money on it. Mahomes is everything they want in a new Golden Boy, cocky, strong arm, free wheeling gambler, no look passes, etc., etc. Take away his number one deep threat in Hill and he's not going to light up scoreboards and they want them blinking. No Hill, Ds will not respect the Chefs deep game. Mahomes can't put up 48 on anyone with no deep game.

I don't believe in NFL conspiracy theories........I just think the league's policy, investigating body and how they enforce and hand out suspensions is dysfunctional, non-transparent and arbitrary.

That's a problem with all single entity anti-trust businesses, leagues and government bodies. There's no checks and balances to make sure what you're doing is being vetted properly, transparent and truly fair........they can just skirt around the normal rules and laws that apply to these sorts of things.

It's why Tom Brady can take his suspension almost all the way to the supreme court, and the courts say "sorry Tom, it's the NFL, they can do what they want, anti-trust exemption in your CBA contract you agreed to."

Absolutely, there flat out is a double standard. Star player magically gets nothing. If Hill was an average player, he likely gets 8 games minimum.

Ezekiel Elliott, a star player, was never charged or arrested and got 6 games. Not sure I see the double standard.

The NFL decided for the suspension because they had the opportunity to see under the hood of these accusations .
We don't get to see that . The NFL might feel that Reed got a pass because it happened in Hawk country...they might be right. Anyway ; I am sick of hearing about these rich thugs that just happen to be good athletes get away with what would put the rest of us in jail . Screw Reed...his IQ is the same as his number .

We have a zero DV tolerance policy. This guilty verdict by Goodell means he is off the team by all rights.

Incorrect. The NFL concluded that he violated the personal conduct policy. I haven't seen anything, anywhere that states that the NFL has concluded that he committed domestic violence.

There are all kinds of ways to violate the personal conduct policy that don't include DV. For instance, putting yourself in the position to be suspected of having committed DV.

And you likely do not see the sun at midnight either. That doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

This is CLEARLY a DV guilty verdict by Goodell.

No. It isn't.

But I can see it's not worth explaining this any further to you.

We have basically no idea what happened that night, but we do know he wasn't arrested or charged, and you want to bust out the pitch forks and torches. Sorry, but I'm not going to condemn a guy without having any idea what actually happened.
I support the decision by the NFL .

Interesting. Then you must have some insight into what actually happened that night? Care to share with the rest of us?

And sorry, but Jarran Reed isn't that big of a name. If the police showed up and there was any evidence at all that he had assaulted a woman he would have been arrested and taken to jail. Police take DV pretty seriously.

This league is so hypocritical, it's pathetic. Jarran gets 6 games; Zeke Elliott and Tyreek Hill get nothing. All of them should be suspended for their off field actions. It likes players it deems "superstars". Can't wait for Goodell to leave or get canned. Just unreal.

He got a home town players pass that you wouldn't get. The NFL saw it for what it was. Nail the idiot .
