While your cap statement may be true, the "one or neither" is highly speculative IMHO.

HIGHLY SPECULATIVE?!?!?!?

...On an internet fan forum during the off-season. What were the odds....

I think Todd Lieweke is probably going to mess things up for all of us.

So you're not optimistic about us keeping Tate anymore?

Without reading anything except the title I'd say that this should be a priority next season. I'd even go so far as to ask both Rice and Harvin take a slight paycut. Especially if we fall short of a championship. If we get the ring, these guys could potentially be harder to keep. Players with rings can sometimes be of a higher price in the NFL. Tate would be one of those. Proven winners and what not....

It will be one or neither of Rice and Tate on the roster next year. No way the Hawks can tie that much cap room space at the WR position.
I think I've heard this argument before at other positions. While your cap statement may be true, the "one or neither" is highly speculative IMHO. If the team and the players want to get it done, it can be done.

Of course it is speculative, I am not employed for the Seahawks organization.

I think Rice will be a cap casualty next year and the Hawks will keep the younger less expensive Golden Tate.
