One of the conditions I had if we were going to break the bank for this guy was to have him for both Lambs games. Well, with the first one this Thursday, a deal would have had to happen by now. So, I’ll pass.

DB's are low value players in today's NFL since they aren't allowed to cover guys anymore. It's all about pass rush. Spend money on the pass rushers. Not on nincompoop cornerbacks.

I mean if we wanted high price drama at the CB position wouldn't we have kept Sherm around?

Agree and suspect the team was only trying to find out what Jax really wanted for this player. To me I'd rather spend the $ on the pass rush and develop our own young players. Very much doubt the team would trade for this player.

Do you realize people have been saying this since the mid 2000s? An elite pass rush is obviously better than an elite corner on his own. However, a good QB can mitigate the effects of an elite pass rush; whereas, an elite corner has the capability of shutting down half the field which is much harder to mitigate.

Sherm was 30, coming off an Achilles injury, and a headache in the locker room. That's why he was let go. Ramsey is 24, healthy, and a more dynamic (not necessarily better) player overall than Sherm was in his prime.

The cost in trading for Ramsey is the only real concern i'd have. He'd be worth what ever he's paid.
