Question on Punt blocking

On the blocked punt, I noticed it was Brock that they went through.

I don't know the particulars on the blocking scheme on punts, but I thought it was curious that Brock was lined next to center. On the next punt, i saw him there as well.

Why would you not have a line man blocking instead of a linebacker?

Defenders are better at tackling w/o getting hurt.

Thanks, that makes sense, but obviously not as good at blocking, oh wait.. I've seen our OL, never mind.
