That is my point of emphasis tonight.

If Russell Wilson takes more than 3 hits while trying to get out of St Louis with a victory over this lousy team I will be LIVID.

Tired of playing Russian roulette with RW's health.

If there is one thing this Rams team does halfway decent, it is rushing the passer. But if RW does his usual thing, they are done.

Also, with their rushing defense coming in at #30, a healthy dose of Beast is whats for dinner.

You are going to be LIVID he will definitely take some big hits.

Hopefully we can just run the ball 50 times, pound out a big lead by the end of the 3rd, and it's TJ mop-up time in the 4th...

I'm with you. Can't stand to see him take shots,

and if they give him a little time, he can, and will, shred their secondary. :th2thumbs:

You will be LIVID. The Rams might have the best 1-2 combination 4-3 DE's in the league. They're better on the edge than Carolina. And they're going against backup Tackles.

Like Largent80 said though, they don't defend the run well. Hell, even Arizona ran well against them. I see us crushing them with the run.

BFS.....maybe just write an angry letter ?

You'd hope by now the line even with backups would be gelling just a bit.

not worried though. After our fumble issues lately I'm assuming we've used the last 11 days to figure out a solution.

Sounds good but don't hold your breath on that.

Chris Long utterly blew up our line last year... in Seattle, against our starters.

That DL did whatever they wanted to our OL last year, at full strength.

And the Rams are a team that isn't above a few plays that one might call cheap or at least borderline.

I am hoping and praying to avoid any injuries in this game. I agree with the OP, we have to be aware that they are probably looking at the fact that if RW goes down their chances to win go up significantly.

The best way to slow down a pass rush is to run the ball, so I expect copious amounts of Beastmode tonight with #26 blowing open some big ass holes.

Yup, and it won't be any better with our banged up OL. At minimum, all Wilson needs to do is to stay healthy, not fumble, and keep the possession on our offense as long as possible for the defense to rest. Our D/ST should score some points.

This is my presupposition, as well. I don't imagine that I am seeing a problem area which our coaches are blind to and I have to believe it has been addressed.

I further understand we can't put RW in a red 'no contact' jersey but the simple fact is this team can scheme a way to win a game like this (or in AZ for that matter) without exposing RW unnecessarily or excessively.

It's a marvel to behold the whirling dervish that is is a harried Wilson eluding and frustrating would be tacklers of all shapes speeds and sizes but it only takes one misstep to become a tragedy and I think we have been flirting with that to a degree I have become uncomfortable with.
