Here's what probably happened. The Seahawks went to Prosise and told him he'd be unlikely to get any playing time for the rest of the season given the depth at RB. Then they asked him if he wanted to be released, Prosise says no and suddenly an injury that probably wouldn't put him on IR if he was a starter or a backup is serious enough to put him on IR.

Given his recent interview, I'm going to assume Prosise wants to be with the team in order to prove he was not a bust. He's got one year remaining at a cap friendly number so it doesn't hurt the Seahawks to keep him around and given that this injury is most likely minor he'll have another full offseason to get into peak condition.
Man, I thought this was his last season.

Even though he missed ptactice all week, I don't doubt at all this is still what likely transpired. He's actually been healthy almost all year and he's been a healthy scratch most of the time because the 3 in front of him are just better. With McKissic available, exit stage left Prosise.

Pete said he's been nursing this injury all season. He wasn't injured this week in practice. Core injuries take time to heal. He didn't look great in preseason so this kind of makes sense. No need to make a rash move.

Hunt is available, do a signing for 2019 :) low ball and incentives this way Prosise can be released, Davis if not resigned next year could leave a hole we need to fill and we get a talented RB.

I hated the pick from the start..I said exactly that he always is hurt and really I did want to be
eating crow on it but he has exceeded even what I was thinking..He has made the easiest money
ever for a 3rd rounder that made the team that I can think of..

Yep. While I'm sure he's disappointed by the outcome, he can console himself with the money he's made. More than can be said for many men trying out for this league who didn't even get a shot. Enough already. Seeya.

You mean like this much hate?

"Prosise can do that and very well..He is great in slot and I can see him being used many ways.I like this pick more as time passes.Brooks also has good hands..Could it be whoever does best between the 2 stays?"

I don't think anyone thought he would be as fragile as he's turned out to be, so I wouldn't be claiming Nostradamus type clairvoyance.
Ha Ha- I don't recall that but there should be one on draft day that says otherwise.
I may have changed my view somewhat after going over some other posts.
That post that you cropped off doesn't prove anything other than I liked it more as
time passes..It wasn't long at all before that ended. :177692:

Not that anybody here thought this would happen LOL, he has a an abdomen, groin, hip-flexor thing going on he had been supposedly fighting.

The thing is pick a injury, Abdomen, Hip Flexor, Groin, when did he get all these if he hasn't played or practiced?

.... Ellerbee provides both linebacker depth and special teams depth, especially in Tre Madden’s likely absence for Sunday. [urltargetblank]https://www.fieldgulls.com/2018/12/1/18121379/cj-prosise-placed-injured-reserve-seahawks-nfl-news[/urltargetblank]

All of Ellerbee's previous 13 snaps have been on special teams. So ..... one might surmise that with the injury to Madden, a special teams need finally wrestled Prosise's roster spot away.

Prosise is a candidate for IR with a core injury according to Pete.

Another in his litany of injuries. :177692:

"Core injury?" = likely a sports hernia, from lifting his wallet after coming from the trainer's rooms.

Bad joke is it has been recognized he has no heart to play.

Well, think of it this way, we're probably going to see his jersey's go on sale here pretty soon :34853_doh:

So with CJ and Kam on the roster taking 2 spots all year and basically not being available ever , how much more does this not sound like GM and Coach of the year with the season theses guys have already had not even including what may happen
Sounds like a shoe in to me but yeah , they'll never get the respect they deserve

This is a message board so fair enough, but 99% not sure why we're even talking about this guy anymore.
