The weather should be nicer in Seattle on Sunday, but that won't make it an easier place to play. The Seattle fans believe this is their year, they hate the 49ers as much as they ever hated the Raiders, they believe Harbaugh is evil arrogance personified, and they plan to be loud.

Very loud. As in Marshawn-Lynch-causes-an-earthquake loud (if you don't remember, Lynch's touchdown run in the playoffs in January 2011 registered as actual seismic activity).

CenturyLink Field is the most intimidating venue in the league. That's why a lot of people believe that if the Seahawks gain home-field advantage for the playoffs, they will find themselves in the Super Bowl. And this game could do a lot to determine that.

And, no, it's not too early to talk about it.

Yeah...I have to admit....thats a tough one for the Niners.

Going into that stadium with the team and fans that jacked up to play this game. Its a tall order.

I don't expect the Niners to win. I'm thinkin' it'll be another "Seahawks win at home and Niners win at home" divisional series this year. If the niners do pull this one off tho...it'll be huge.

In fact, I think it would be a big win for the Seahawks, but it would be an ENORMOUS win for the 49ers.

Wish this game was in October. Would be great to have the buildup go a few more weeks. But I guess the schedule makers had to knock a few divisional games off the front-end (thus Philly vs Skins, Giants vs Boys, Cards vs Rams, Bills vs Pats etc...).

Hope it lives up to the hype. Suspect it will.

The schedule makers put it in early out of pity. Could you imagine the Niners coming here in raging December? With the div on the line?

Article had me thinking what it would be like, if during the San Fran intro...the stadium was quiet. Not even talking to your neighbor kinda quiet. So quiet you can hear the San Fran players trying to whoop it up...but it sounds hollow cause they're the only noise. Counter that with the absolute bedlam when the Hawks enter. How unsettling would that be....dunno, but trying to imagine.

That would be awesome. Too bad we would never be able to get all the fans to stay quiet when they come out. I know I won't shut up for the Whiners!

I think any fanbase talking about the Super Bowl at this point is deluding themselves, and would probably be better off being more circumspect. That goes for Hawks fans, 9ers fans, Broncos fans, etc.

I do admit I get a kick out of all the Hawks fans who talk like they've already booked their tickets, but I guess you have to have some familiarity with something to think about it in a measured way.

As for the Clink being very loud and Hawks fans betting their vocal chords and metaphorical life savings' on this game, well yeah, I don't think we need the intrepid reporting of Ann Killion at SFGate to know that.

I'm definitely expecting the Hawks to win come Sunday, but this article doesn't seem to add anything of interest to that conversation.

It's not too early to talk about playoffs. This game can definitely decide who gets HFA in the playoffs.
