I'm usually not a huge pre-season guy, but I for one am very much looking forward to this game up in GB. With of course Aaron rogers and a supposedly revamped running attack at home, this should be a huge barometer as to how this team stacks up against the leagues best on the road.. Wk #3 typically has the starters playing 3 qtrs.. If we can come out and hold our own against Rogers and company for those three qtrs i for one will be an extremely confident man going into the season..

your thoughts?

I just want to read all of the banners related to last year's drama while I drink out of my new Guinness glasses.

I want to see Seattle come out and throw a Hail Mary to Tate in the end zone for a touchdown.

Pre-season is hardly ever a barometer for how things will go in the regular season. Unless of course we smoke them, then I'll use it as evidence of a great season ahead.

It's the only game I would like us to win given it's a full dress rehearsal and shows the best picture of where we actually are going into the regular season.

You know what....? That would cement Pete in NFL lore, forever. And I would not put it past him, or the team, having a little fun with the whole thing.

If Tate does catch a touchdown, he should give the touchdown signal while Baldwin motions for the interception.

Too bad Jennings isn't still there, him and Browner would be fun to watch.. Will have to wait for week 11 for that..

All of this would be completely epic. I'd love to see it.

I have never been this excited for a preseason game, as I am about this one. As much as I'd love to throttle them, I would love a controversial last second win even more. Either way, another loss to us (despite it not counting), along with Kraep's comments to King about GB, are gonna make one pissed off GB squad week one... and I hope they boat race SF. :stirthepot:

In pre-season, I generally just watch to see how well the starters do. If they do well, I get comfortable about how the upcoming season will go.

It's nice to scout the backups, but you don't learn much leading up to the season by how well they do against opponents' scrubs.

I kind of dread the media hype leading up to the game. The talking heads might try to make this something it really isn't.

I certainly wouldn't put it past Pete to do something 'fun' out there, though. :)

LOL! Yes, to both!

As far as the game goes, I hope we win...but if we lose or lose big, it won't matter at all. I really hope Pete and Co. know better and won't pull out the entire game plan just for a few preseason wins.

I expect a super-vanilla washed down version of the offense and a TON of reps for the backups. And zero injuries!! Win/Loss...meh.

I love the pre-season. Its the only time you get to see all of these emerging prospects before they become stars. (ex. See Russell Wilson)

Im actually watching the Denver preseason game right now. Its just so obvious Wilson earned the starting spot.

I agree, we're not going to see anything close to the full open playbook. I'm sure the player/coaches care about winning pre-season games more than us fans.. but in the 3rd pre-season game, it will be the starters getting most of the reps, which is why i think it would be huge to have a good showing, nice confidence booster heading into the regular season. games 1, 2 and 4 are for the players trying to make the team.. game 3 is like KCHawkGirl said, a dress rehearsal for the 1's...
