If it said top 15 in both Offense and Defense I would be a YES.

I think it will take time for our Defense to click and learn to play together against tough opponents. Plus we have Rams twice, 49ers twice, and Lions on our schedule, teams with top offenses. By the end of the regular season, our D will be PLAYING LIKE at Top 10, Maybe Top 5 unit, but the season overall, probably 11th or 12th.

For our offense, I think we very well could have a top 10 offense; we'll see soon enough.

I think we are more likely to have a Top 10 Offense than Top 10 Defense.

We were a top 20 O last year and I think Grubb will be more effective than Waldron. Also think JSN in his 2nd season is going to be a huge difference maker.

d we were ranked #28 or something, we made a few additions and losing Bobby should be a good things. MM will have this D playing well but I think we are more of a top 15 D.

Top 15 for both sounds right - maybe top 10 Offense - D needs a little more work. 12-15 probably.

Regardless - I see big improvement on both sides. Preseason to be sure - but on D there is actual tackling going on - like wrapping up tackling. Much faster to swarm the ball as well. More unpredictability. On Offense it has been pretty vanilla looks thus far- but I couldn't immediately divine when a run play was coming - so that alone is an improvement. An improvement in our ability (desire?) to make in-game adjustments on O and D will be critical and if done well - top 10 isnt out of reach.

I say Top 10 offense definitely. I can see top 12-15 defense for most of this year, and watch the eff out NEXT year. A HIGH Top 10 O + 12-15 D should win us alot of damn games, tho!
I agree with this, I think the offense has a more realistic chance of exploding into top 10 territory, while the defense takes longer to get there.

Your god damn right they will. Offense will be in the top 5-10 overall. Now the defense will be top 3 FOR SURE. Why are guys doubting that. 12-15 overall, c'mon man. Macdonald took over a ravens defense without Smith in his first year and they were 3rd overall defense. There's ABSOLUTELY no reason why that can't be done here.

Improvements on D will help the O make Top 10 ranking, but I doubt D will improve to Top 10 in the first year. Maybe, though, so I voted "Wait and See." :)

Do I think we are better than PFF's current ranking of 31st for offensive line & 17th for defensive line? Hell yes! Top Ten? 😏

Hmmm... interesting. Our offense has been in the top 10 conversation (I think just inside top 10 in 2022, just outside 2023) both of the last two seasons so us being top 10 again on that side of the ball wouldn't shock me at all. Grubb's still very unproven as an NFL level OC but he looked pretty good within the confines of the vanilla-ness of NFL pre-season so all signs point up.

Defense, though? We were bottom 5, in the running for the worst defense in the league, so it kind of seems nuts to jump to 'top 10' in just one year, and yet... I kind of feel like we could do it, you know?

Probably just homer-ism blinding me, but this pre-season went honestly about as perfectly as one could hope for outside of Nwosu's injury in terms of building expectations.

Tough to say. So far things are looking very promising, more so than they've been in years. I'm liking what Ryan Grubb has been doing and we've all seen that wherever MacDonald has gone, a tough defense has followed.

There are a few things that I see being potential problems. Our LB's in particular could be problematic, the LB's and Safeties are asked to do quite a bit in MacDonald's system. Our LB's unit seems to be held together by bandaids and spit.

I think top a top 10 defense is not out of the realm of possibility though, I think at the very least we're going to be top 15.

Ravens D was # 18 in 2021. Marlon Humphrey was on IR that year. They added All Pro Roquan Smith in October and drafted All Pro Kyle Hamilton in 2022.Marlon Humphrey made the pro bowl. Just seems like the Seahawks have further to go, they were 30th last year. I think top 12 would be a more realistic target. Now their best pass rusher is going to miss 2-6 weeks? If MacDonald gets their defense to #3 start carving his bust for Canton
