Playcalling is leaving a lot to be desired.

We're just running into stacked boxes with reckless abandon. Our running success this season has came by setting up the run with the pass and using a lot of subterfuge at the LOS. These straight runs up the gut ain't doing it.

Agreed. Not using WRs either. Maybe Lockett dinged up worse than we thought.

I actually think the playcalling has been fine. Cardinals Defense is no joke.

The offense looked more dynamic with Penny. Don't think Walker has mastered the playbook, which limits what Waldron can call?

We've been running straight into stacked boxes on first and second down. That's contrary to what has brought us success this season.

I don't think that is the case. If you looked at what we did with Penny, we almost always set the run up with the pass. We also didn't run into stacked boxes very often.

Play calling would look better if there was better execution. I’ve seen at least two occasions where players went the wrong way. Fant running into Walker in the backfield and DJ going to the wrong side of Geno.

What about the run on second and long and the running plays into stacked boxes? That isn't execution that's poor play calling.

Sometimes it is the players' fault. 🤷‍♂️

Execution has been bad so far but play calling has been super uninspired. Back to trying to set up the pass with the run when we should be doing the other way around.

The draw on those occasions have worked for us this year. Haynes got beat like a drum on that play.

that wasn't the same sort of play that we've ran that has worked. It was a straight up run play. We ran a play early that was more akin to that style of play where Walker went for lot of yardage. The delayed draw is what has been our money maker.
