Has there ever been a better offseason for addressing the Tight End position? Both the draft and free agency are loaded with quality options at Tight End, including guys who play more of the "Joker" role and guys who are more well rounded with their blocking skills. The Hawks could definitely use another TE on the roster after Evan Moore didn't do squat.
For free agency, I picked 3 guys that seem like the most viable Seahawk options. All have tremendous potential but have yet to realize it for one reason or another, and therefore may be available for fairly reasonable free agent deals.
Davis has the USC connection and looked ready to have a huge year til he got hurt last year. Keller is ultra athletic and not much of a blocker, but has great receiving skills. He had a down year as part of the NY Jets disaster, but I think he could put up great numbers in a real NFL offense. Cook is an athletic freak with unlimited potential, but the targets just have not been there for him and he probably also just needs to get into a better offense for his skills.
And then there is the draft...so deep! There are at least 6 guys who look ready to make a big impact as rookies. I did not include any in the poll, but I'd imagine some would prefer we don't mess with the free agents.
Personally, I'd be pretty excited about giving any of those free agents a shot but my choice would be Cook. 2 TE sets with Cook and Miller would provide the Hawks with scary size and playcalling versatility. He is a huge target and I am sure Wilson would love throwing to him.
