I pulled this out of the other podcasts, because listening to it, I wanted to highlight where Pete talks about how he and John Schneider started out together, how they worked together, and what a fabulous relationship it's been!

20 Minutes in Presser starts.

31 Minutes in for Pete talking about his relationship with John Schneider

TOM, JAKE AND STACY January 8, 2020 - Hour 1

We then take a listen to Pete Carroll's latest press conference.

Great find!

For anyone who can't listen live, the transcripts for all SEA coach/player press availability is here:

Natural advantage to playing any opponent more than once in a year - as well as being in the best division in football. We haven't played GB yet this season so it will be interesting - SF and Min we have so if we can bang this out, which will be monumental if done, I think we have a good chance.

Interestingly, the only AFC team we have played this season is Baltimore.......hmmmmm.......

The following is a timely quote going into this weekend ............................
(On what he’s learned about the playoffs that he didn’t know ten years ago) “The challenge really is the managing the players’ mentality. That’s the challenge to it. Keeping them balanced and clear thinking and not distracted by all the hoopla at the front of it and all that. There’s such a buildup when you go to each game. Each week is just so much fun because it’s so intense as you move through it that it’s managing that. That’s why I’m so adamant that we treat every game the same and we try to learn how to discipline our focus so that we don’t get distracted by the natural things that you guys all think should distract us; the matchups, the hype, the buildup. Whatever it is. How many times we’ve won, and they’ve won or whatever in years past. All that stuff, it doesn’t mean anything at all. Sorry. That’s the biggest thing I’ve dealt with and to try to manage everybody well, coaches, too, so we don’t screw it up and get unlike ourselves and play unlikely fashion. That’s what we don’t want to do. We want to play like we know how to.”

..................................... this is one of the better question and answer press conferences of this season. Great stuff This subject did indeed demand it's own thread. Good decision :2thumbs:
