Good! As he puts it, the medical field is an expanding thing, and if marijuana helps with the healing process, then so be it. There is a lot to learn still, and people are too quick to judge.

Considiering that Pete essentially reiterated Roger Goodell's own position on medical marijuana, I don't see much that's really newsworthy here.

That's not what he said. He reiterated Goodell's position that if the medical world was exploring its uses, then the NFL should too. Basically just said the NFL needs to look at all the options to help its players. Of course, ESPN came up with a fake headline to draw hits.

He didn't exactly make a strong statement in support of anything, really. I think if Russ was asked the same question he'd say, "The intoxication is in the inhalation! Go Hawks!"

Supposing marijuana is a good medicine, would allowing players to consume in states where it is legal create an unlevel playing field for players in states that do not allow medical? I'm all for letting everyone smoke but that was something I recently considered.

Way to spin how that went down by the OP. He just responded to the comments made by the commissioner. Now according to the headlines, its like he is leading the charge. The OP is doing the same thing media correspondents do. This is why I would never want to offer my thoughts on a subject to manipulators. Folks tend to spin stuff anyway their agenda leans.
