I wonder if they actually believe this crap. What on earth makes them think they can pressure Darnold into mistakes more than the Rams, or Texans who he beat soundly.

They have a good defense, but to say it's the hottest in the payoffs? maybe, but who have they played, Allen with no weapons outside of Cook, and a Stidham lead Boncos team. 🤷

"I feel like if the Defense can force Darnold into an early mistake with a pick or a sack fumble he will be rattled and fall apart. Both of their playoff games were against teams within his division so there’s that comfort level. Let’s see how he plays against the hottest defense throughout the entire playoffs".
My biggest (only) concern is that oour defense gets burnt by Maye's legs over pursuing. I'm also certain that they are cognizant of that factor and working on it.

They played the Chargers, Texans and Broncos

When we played Tampa, they were a very good team, by the time NE played them they were on a massive losing streak.

More importantly than that, it's a game where we were missing Lawrence, Witherspoon AND Love, it was Emmanwori's first game back after injury (limited snap count) and only his 2nd ever game - i.e. our secondary was decimated. New England won't be so lucky. We also should have won that game.

A lot of his scramble yards come from running right through the middle of the d line because the dt’s are wider trying to get pressure. I don’t think we’ll have any issue with that, we like getting pressure up the middle with our dt’s

My favorite is "The Seahawks haven't faced a defense like ours"

Yeah, ok......

Per this, out of the top-10 we've played Houston (#1), Jacksonville (#3), Minnesota (#4), Rams (#10) x 3 and Seattle (#2) every day in practice.

Oh, well that's even worse. What does thay have to do with pressuring Darnold though? Are any of those teams as good as LA?

They played the Texans, but they didn't light up the Texans. CJ Stroud handed that game away with short fields.

Speaking of Troll jobs.

Sam lifting the Lombardi trophy over there after being Brock's backup in 2023 would be an insane troll job.

Brock's backup wins the SuperBowl while Brock watches from Cancun.
They should make Joe Montana hand it to us.

Like they made Elway hand the Chiefs one of theirs. That had to hurt Elway deeply.

This is my primary concern as well - historically running QB's and TE's have been bad for us.

Maye can run. And he is probably going to have to.

I actually believe that this game will be closer than we think, although I do think we win. Yes they have played no one except the Bills who they split with. Probably would have lost to Houston if Stroud was not so awful. Probably lose to Denver too with Nix. They also would not have beaten the Niners and Rams 4 times in almost as many weeks. But they are decent and will certainly get the calls and we can be hot and cold on defense.

I figure there are running QB's I.E Russell WIlson, Baltimore guy and others and then there's desperate evading runners. I think Mayo is the latter and really I don't think his running should be on top of the worry list. Mayo ran a lot last week, and I"m pretty sure it's from the snow squall they had in that he only had 86 passing yards.

Pre-snow, Maye's halftime stats were 7/14 for 41 yards with 22 yards rushing.

The Seahawks held Bryce Young to 54 yards passing; Brock Purdy to 127 and 140 yards passing respectively in 2 games. All those games weren't impacted by adverse weather. I think they can handle Drake Maye just fine. Maye is good but he's not Tom Brady or Matthew Stafford.
