Up to this point of season I think we are starting to find our way. I think we're so close to our overall identity. I predicted 8-1 at the bye and I was way off lol. If we had the guys we have right now, we would have been 8-1 going into the bye. We would have beaten the Bills and I truly believe that. The Lions would have been a lot closer. The only thing holding us back is our offense. I'm not a fan of Grubb on the NFL level. People are blaming the O-line, fair enough. We have 3 out 5 very good O-linemen in Olu, Cross, Lucas. I think it's a coaching thing with the O-line and overall offense. If we can clean up the offense, we can go very far this season. As of right now, I think Seattle sneaks into the playoffs this year.

Feels like progress

I don't see every game because the streaming options suck and the sound doesn't work half the time, and I don't feel like spending $20 at a bar to watch a game with the sound down, but...better than getting battered by the bills a few weeks ago

Offense still a work in progress, at best. I don't think the o line has been what anyone would consider to 1/3 of the league since 2007.

I said 10-7 in my head before the season. They'd probably have to beat the Lambs the last week in order for that to happen.

It’s such a shame we lost to the Giants and Rams at home. But we are seeing the D develop right before our eyes. It’s like early LOB days.

Gamewreckers: Geno, JSN, DK, Spoon, Williams, Jones, Murphy
Doing their job well: Walker, Olu, Lucas, Barner, Mafe, Hall, Knight, Love, Coby, Riq, Dre'Mont, Jobe, Myers, Dickson
Doing their job: Lockett, Fant, Cross, Laken, Charbs, Shenault, White, Williams, Russell, Bobo, Jarran Reed, Jenkins, Hankins, Robertson-Harris
Struggling: Haynes, Jerrell, anyone named Brown, Jerrick Reed, Adams, Pritchett
OMFG GO AWAY YOU 49ERS DOUBLE AGENT: Bradford

Not bad. Can't dismiss having a handful of legit blue-chippers and a core of 7/10 guys.

I'd push Robertson-Harris into the Doing their job well category. I know he isn't lighting up the stat sheet, but he's been stout against the run, gumming up holes along the line.

These last couple weeks have shown “hope” and I for one am excited to see how the season unfolds down the stretch. There seems to be a different vibe-you can see it on the sidelines. They’re starting to play together as a team—much better run fits on D and the secondary is attacking. Ball hawks are emerging a little.

And yet, sadly, there’s still a sense of gloom amongst many .Netters. 6-5 in McD’s first year, currently in 1st—what were people realistically expecting? It looks like promise to me and at least entertainment and reason to tune in every week.

We are sitting on 9-8, looking at 10-7, that's all 12s need to know. For ole toffee, I called for 9-8 before the season started as the starting point, and we are on track.

I would say he’s doing his job. Geno is certainly playing the QB position at a professional level.

Game wrecker? 12TD/12INT is certainly wrecking his games.
QB #1: 18/11
QB #2: 18/5

QB #1's team have similar records. There's breathing room in that stat.

Geno leads the league in comeback wins in recent years.

Geno is a 34 year old journeyman QB that has never won a playoff game.

A game wrecker would be that player is a literal force of nature that alters the sands of time and the field of football to their will. Geno, especially this year, is average. He is a serviceable QB. He's better than maybe half of the starting QBs in the league but there is another half that is certainly vastly more talented and statistically better than him.

I am assuming QB 1 and QB 2 are Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen respectively. Why you didn't just say their names?

Regardless of the kind of polish you want to apply, Geno does not compare to those two at all. They are game wreckers that opposing teams legitimately have to game plan for. But what about other QBs?

Lamar Jackson, he's 27/3 in his TD/INT ratio. He's a better athlete than Geno and is performing better statistically than Mahomes or Allen. He's also what I'd classify as a game wrecker.

Jared Goff is QBing one of the best teams in the league, he's doing really well this season and against the Seahawks he had the perfect game. 100% completion rating. Compared to Geno, he's a game wrecker (and has better stats).

How about Joe Burrow? Yeah, the Bengals are doing poorly, but Burrow is 27/4 TD/INT ratio and 7 yards less in passing yards than Geno. Would you say, because the Bengals are 4-7, that Geno is a better QB just because of the Win/Loss record? If you do, that is intense homerism. Of course Burrow is a better QB.

I will say again, Geno is a serviceable QB. He's better than half the league, but he is not elite. He just has to perform and do enough to win, and sometimes that's all you need in this league.

1) More than one way to be a gamewrecker.

2) We're having more fun than you.

3) Since I'm not going to be party to this thread getting derailed into yet ANOTHER Geno fight...how ABOUT that Ernest Jones IV??!!

How do you figure? Being ranked 14-18 over the course of the season is hardly a game wrecker. I would rate that as middle of the road, you know, serviceable. Unless you mean some other immeasurable intangible, like, he certainly can pout on the sidelines like some of the best I've seen.

I'm being facetious on that last part.

Maybe if Geno had a better line, things would be different.

Ain't nothing wrong with supporting or cheering for him. I do for sure on Sunday. I like Geno, I think he's a good dude, but he has limitations and when his contract up he ain't worth the price tag that'll be attached to him.

I'm having plenty of fun. Seattle's D is getting better the last 3 games, and Jones is a major piece of that.

The record is about right, dropped one or two that should have been wins...but it's all good. The OL has been obvious butt, which is expected...but did it have to be that friggin' bad, damn. Offense has been lackluster as a whole. Defense has been streaky, and showing a lot of promise.

Loving what I have been seeing, I could see a PO birth, but also see falling short and just missing out. Been a fun season, the rest should be more fun if things really start clicking.

In light of this, I'm moving Murphy up to the gamewrecker column. Not that I needed that much to be convinced.
