To be fair when Shanahan started off in SF he “sucked” and fans were calling for his head after two seasons. With what he’s done there since he churned the roster I’d say he’s done a pretty damn good job sans Super Bowl. He’s a bloody good coach no matter what diehard hawks fans think. Hopefully we can experience the same kinda thing under MM.

Ya’ll picking on the wrong guy. Not MM’s fault at all. Give him some time. He doesn’t have the right bodies on the team. Not Geno’s either. This forum is sooo soft on one individual. It’s so strange.

So who is at fault then? Simple - it’s Schneider. Really.

Who isn’t building from the trenches like John Lynch? We can’t run block, we can’t pass block, we can’t stop the run or get pressure on the opposing QB. We need trench support and have for years. Instead we draft Smith- Njigba. Or our struggling often out of position corner, Witherspoon. Yes he was great last year but now, showing some warts.

And don't even start with his trades. There are so many really poor trades by John.

Get rid of John and things will change (over time). If they wait then get ready for further suffering. Maybe it wasn’t Pete after all. Maybe it was John.

I suspect part of it is he's so damn young. Players don't see him as the authority he needs to be.
