Hutchinson was awesome too, some would call him a traitor though. Jones played his entire career with the Seahawks.
Being a traitor doesn't make him not a "really good OL drafted by the Hawks.
Its tough to compare anyone to Jones. Its short changing him to call him really good. He is one of the best in NFL history, I would say arguably the best ever.

So you’re saying we shouldn’t worry about taking OL in our mocks b/c it’s pointless, asking for a friend.

Damien Lewis was good they just didn't want to pay him
That's been one of our problems, an unwillingness to pay OL that second contract, especially IOL, which is where we are at. 3 guys on their rookie deals caught between a rock and a hard spot, trying to figure out if they will work out in their 3/4 seasons. We desperately need some continuity on the OL, and we won't get it with this fantasy football attitude of "let's just go out and buy some." 🤷‍♂️

I got to shake hands with Big Walt. We were at a rally of sorts at a pub in London and a bunch of Seahawks VIP's were in a restricted area of the pub but had to walk through the main floor to reach the bathrooms. Walt was walking right past me, and I stepped in front of him and extended my right hand, so he had two choices: Either grab me by the shoulders and toss me out of the way or shake hands. Fortunately for me, he chose the latter.

Walt was just the 2nd HOF'er I've ever shook hands with the other being Bob Feller.
Did his hand envelop your whole forearm?

One, really good OL draft pick in nearly 50 years.
Edit: what other ones are there? Big
Walt is my favorite OL.
I said it in another thread: if Schneider was in charge way back then he wouldn't have gotten a 2nd contract with the Hawks. Big Walt would've entered the HoF with a different team.

He was a victim of Pete's original roster purge because he didn't fit the new system, but Rob Sims was a really good 4th round pick. Looked great for the Lions too.

Floyd Wedderburn had a nice three-year run for a fifth-round pick. Completely blanking on why he never played again after that and can't find anything online though.

Joey Hunt disagrees!
One season, Hunt was the top-rated center in the NFL for preseason games. It's not really his fault that Aaron Donald would just pick him up and throw him aside on his way to the QB. Donald would pick you or me up and throw us aside too. Hunt's NFL superpower was being able to get back up for the next toss, er play. Me, I would just ask Donald nicely to please throw me in the direction of the Hawks training staff next time, for faster medical attention.

And nobody's mentioned Steve August and Tom Lynch, 1st and 2nd round picks respectively, IIRC; I think August was called "Route 76" for his prowess in pass pro. That's going back a ways.
